  • Patent number: 11336334
Abstract: An electronic label apparatus comprises: an inductive communication unit which communicates wirelessly using inductive signals; a processor; memory including a computer program code; and a power source which supplies electric power to the inductive communication unit, the processor, and the memory for enabling their operation. The processor, the memory, the computer program code and the power source with the electric power cause the electronic label apparatus at least to: receive a plurality of inductive signals of known transmission powers from known locations; measure signal powers of the received inductive signals; and determine information about a location of the electronic label apparatus based on the measured signal powers, the known transmission signal powers and the known locations.

  • Patent number: 10823689
Abstract: A method for determining a quantity of interest in a target comprises: providing simulated statistics of a deviation, caused by a boundary distortion in observations of the physical quantity; providing an approximate mathematical model of observations of the physical quantity, the approximate mathematical model defining the physical quantity to be dependent on the quantity of interest in the target domain, and on a deviation a boundary distortion causes in the observations, said deviation being determined to behave in accordance with the simulated statistics; receiving measured values of the physical quantity; determining an observation difference between the measured values of the physical quantity and corresponding observations according to the approximate mathematical model, and adjusting the approximate mathematical model to reduce the observation difference; and determining an estimate of the quantity of interest in the target domain on the basis of the adjusted approximate mathematical model.

  • Publication number: 20170238836
Abstract: A soft-field tomography system includes a plurality of transducers, one or more excitation drivers, one or more response detectors, and a soft-field reconstruction module. The transducers are configured for positioning proximate a surface of an object to be imaged, and are configured to apply excitations to the surface of the object. The excitation drivers are coupled to the transducers and configured to generate excitation signals to be applied by the transducers. The response detectors are coupled to the transducers and configured to measure a response of the object at the transducers to acquire an Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) data set. The soft-field reconstruction module is configured to select a model domain for the EIT data set that represents a predetermined shape, determine a minimally anisotropic error in the model domain, and perform isotropization using the determined minimally anisotropic error to recover a boundary shape and isotropic conductivity.

  • Publication number: 20140348384
Abstract: This document discloses a solution for maintaining information on locations of consumer products in a location tracking area. Customers are provided with personal electronic devices comprising a camera sensor arranged to capture images of consumer products provided in the location tracking area. The locations of the customers are also tracked in the location tracking area. The locations of the products may be maintained by monitoring locations where the personal electronic devices capture the images of the consumer products.

  • Publication number: 20130096425
Abstract: A system and method for data reconstruction in soft-field tomography are provided. One method includes selecting a model domain for an EIT data set, determining a minimally anisotropic error in the model domain and correcting the model domain. The method also performing isotropization using the determined minimally anisotropic error to recover a boundary shape and isotropic conductivity for the EIT data set.
