  • Publication number: 20240149501
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of making one or more fibrils, the method comprising the steps of providing a material of manufacture of the one or more fibrils; providing a random initial shape of the one or more fibrils, with each fibril of the one or more fibrils comprising several surfaces; calculating an adhesive force of the one or more fibrils based on the material of manufacture of the one or more fibrils and on the provided random initial shape of the one or more fibrils, i.e.

  • Publication number: 20240136495
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a component of an electrochemical energy storage device utilizes lithium such that a coating method based on pulsed laser ablation is utilized in the production of an ion-conducting inorganic material layer on at least one surface of a lithium metal anode. At least one material layer is processed by thermal, mechanical, or thermomechanical treatment or by combination of any of these treatments after pulsed laser deposition. A roll-to-roll method can be used in the deposition, in which the substrate to be coated is directed from one roll to the second roll, and the deposition takes place in the area between the rolls. Moving and/or turning mirrors can be used to direct laser pulses as a beam line array to the surface of the target material.

  • Patent number: 11499902
Abstract: A force sensing probe (100) for sensing snap-in and/or pull-off force of a liquid droplet (111) brought into and/or separated from contact with a hydrophobic sample surface (151), respectively, comprises: a sensing tip (101); a sensor element (102) connected to the sensing tip, capable of sensing sub-micronewton forces acting on the sensing tip in a measurement direction; and a droplet holding plate (104) having a first main surface (105) and a hydrophilic second main surface (106) connected via a peripheral edge surface (107), and being attached via the first main surface to the sensing tip (101) perpendicularly relative to the measurement direction for receiving and holding a liquid droplet (111) as attached to the second main surface; the droplet holding plate comprising an electrically conductive surface layer (115), the first and the second main surfaces and the peripheral edge surface being defined by the surface layer.
