    Abstract: A fabric architecture (100) made of a plurality of composite fabric layers having a top surface, a first dimension, a second dimension, and a third dimension, wherein the third dimension is the thickness of the fabric architecture, and a plurality of vertical stitches or staple through the fabric layers along the third dimension. The vertical stitching (108), or staples, in the third dimension increases the stiffness and strength of the fabric architecture as well as prevents premature cracking and breaking of a composite component made from the vertical stitching (108) or staples.
