Patent number: 12162758Abstract: High-surface area carbon nanotubes having targeted, or selective, species of oxygen containing species levels, types and/or content on either or both of the interior and exterior of the tube walls are claimed. Such carbon nanotubes can have little to none inner tube surface oxygen containing species, or differing amounts and/or types of oxygen containing species between the tubes' inner and outer surfaces or amongst the carbon nanotubes. Additionally, such high-surface area carbon nanotubes or their assemblages may have greater lengths and diameters, creating useful mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2020Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Inventors: Malcolm Francis Finlayson, Clive P. Patent number: 11736544Abstract: System and methods are provided that can address co-locating content delivery services in a CDN and streaming egress services on the same computing devices in the same point of presence (PoP). A control plane of the content streaming service sends a request for a PoP for a client. A routing and capacity management system processes logs from the services to monitor resource usage at respective PoPs and/or border links. The routing and capacity management system can respond to the streaming control plane and identify a suitable PoP based on the monitored resource usage of the PoPs and/or border links. Based on the monitored resource usage, the routing and capacity management system instructs the streaming control plane to limit the load associated with one or more clients served by a PoP, which causes disconnected clients to reconnect to the content streaming service thereby re-routing traffic and rebalancing computing resource usage.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2022Date of Patent: August 22, 2023Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Mattias Holmlund, Anubhav Gupta, Vineet Ghatge Hemantkumar, Jorge Peixoto Vasquez, Vinay Bhat

Patent number: 11558239Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed herein that monitor and improve network performance and reliability of a plurality of devices and nodes. In aspects, alert types are categorized based on the role, model, and operating system of a device or node within the network for which the alert was generated. A command set that is responsive to the alert and that is specially configured for the role, model, and operating system of the device or node is automatically selected to address the alert. The command set can be executed against the device or node (or neighboring device/node) in order to investigate the cause or source of the alert. Based on the results returned by the command set's execution, remediation actions can be selected and implemented to improve the technological performance (e.g., memory, CPU, connectivity) of the device or node in the network.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2021Date of Patent: January 17, 2023Assignee: CERNER INNOVATION, INC.Inventors: Kotresh Kori, Pavan Kumar R P, Jim S. Publication number: 20210396533Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose mechanisms to utilize navigation routes in order to avoid or minimize sun glare along the navigation route. Some embodiments first estimate whether it is likely that sun glare will be perceived while navigating between a starting location and an ending location. If sun glare is likely, the navigation route is calculated using sun glare as part of a cost function. If sun glare is not likely, the navigation route is calculated without regard to sun glare. Real-time sun glare feedback can be received from one user device and used in sun glare calculations for another user device. In some embodiments a trained machine learning model can be utilized as part of the sun glare calculation. Other embodiments include digital assistants that use sun glare information to recommend actions and/or take actions on behalf of a user.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2021Publication date: December 23, 2021Inventors: Sapna Jeswani, Ajoy Nandi, Vinay Bhat

Publication number: 20210179880Abstract: The present application pertains to dispersions comprising oxidized, discrete carbon nanotubes and high-surface area carbon nanotubes. The oxidized, discrete carbon nanotubes comprise an interior and exterior surface, each surface comprising an interior surface oxidized species content and an exterior surface oxidized species content. The interior surface oxidized species content differs from the exterior surface oxidized species content by at least 20%, and as high as 100%. The high-surface area nanotubes are generally single-wall nanotubes. The BET surface area of the high-surface area nanotubes is from about 550 m2/g to about 1500 m2/g according to ASTM D6556-16. The aspect ratio is at least about 500 up to about 6000. The dispersions comprise from about 0.1 to about 30% by weight nanotubes based on the total weight of the dispersion.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2021Publication date: June 17, 2021Applicant: MOLECULAR REBAR DESIGN, LLCInventors: Kurt W.
