  • Patent number: 11989268
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that identifies a user of an electronic device. During a training mode, the system uses an initial training data set, comprising sensor data from electronic devices associated with a set of initial users, to train a multilayer neural network model to authenticate the initial users. Next, the system uses an additional training data set, which includes sensor data from electronic devices associated with one or more new users, to update a portion of the weights in the trained model so that the updated model can be used to authenticate both the initial users and the one or more new users. During a subsequent mode, the system uses the updated model to authenticate a user of the electronic device based on sensor data contemporaneously received from the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20240151139
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying a likelihood that a reservoir of a geological formation received a secondary charge of hydrocarbons of relatively very different thermal maturity of composition are provided. One method includes positioning a downhole acquisition tool in a wellbore in a geological formation and testing one or more fluid properties of the formation fluid. Data processing circuitry may identify whether a relationship of the one or more fluid properties exceeds a first threshold that indicates likely asphaltene instability. When this is the case, data processing circuitry may be used to model the geological formation using a realization scenario in which multiple charges of hydrocarbons of substantially different thermal maturity or substantially different composition, or both, filled a reservoir of the geological formation over geologic time.

  • Publication number: 20240137311
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for employing an adaptive mechanism in communications among network devices. Adaptive mechanism techniques may include adapting network operations relative to characteristics of devices and/or network access technologies or mechanisms used in the network. Adaptation may help to accommodate a wider variety of types of devices. For instance, adaptive mechanism techniques may include determining, based on characteristics of a device in the network, a forwarding mechanism to be used at an access device to forward data traffic from the device to another device via the network. As such, adaptive mechanism techniques may provide more efficient integration of devices within a complex network, thereby improving network operations.

  • Publication number: 20240137314
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for service chaining in fabric networks such that hardware resources can be preserved without service nodes needing additional capabilities. The techniques may include storing a first configuration associated with a first VRF instance of a service forwarding node that is connected to a first service of a service chain sequence. The first configuration may indicate an identifier and a type associated with a second service of the service chain sequence where traffic is to be sent after the first service. Additionally, the techniques may also include storing a second configuration associated with a second VRF instance of the service forwarding node that is connected to the second service. The second configuration may indicate that the second service is a last service of the service chain sequence. When traffic is received at the service forwarding node, the service forwarding node can determine whether the traffic is pre-service traffic or post-service traffic.

  • Publication number: 20240073127
Abstract: Techniques for a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) controller associated with a multisite network to implement jurisdictional data sovereignty polices in a multisite network, route network traffic flows between user sites and destination services over one or more provider sites, and/or perform a routing operation on the network traffic flow(s) based on the jurisdictional data sovereignty policies. The jurisdictional data sovereignty polices may be implemented using destination group tags (DGTs) and/or source group tags (SGTs). A secure access service edge (SASE) associated with the network controller may generate, store, and distribute the DGTs to provider sites and/or the SGTs to user sites. Based on the SGT and/or DGT associated with a network traffic flow, one or more services may be applied to the network traffic flow, and the network traffic flow may be routed through a particular region of a software-defined access (SDA) transit.

  • Patent number: 10831910
Abstract: A retention service registers a target system as a consumer service. A cloud platform provides services to each of multiple consumer service. Retention rule information about the target system is received and reflects a data retention requirement. A rule is created that corresponds to the data retention requirement. A configuration is defined that specifies recurring future invocations of the rule. The rule is invoked per the configuration and a query is sent to the target system, the query configured to extract data. Extracted data is received and the rule is applied thereto. • Patent number: 6324296
Abstract: Disclosed is a distributed-processing motion capture system (and inherent method) comprising: plural light point devices, e.g., infrared LEDs, in a motion capture environment, each providing a unique sequence of light pulses representing a unique identity (ID) of a light point device; a first imaging device for imaging light along a first and second axis; and a second imaging device for imaging light along a third and fourth axis. Both of the imaging devices filter out information not corresponding to the light point devices, and output one-dimensional information that includes the ID of a light point device and a position of the light point device along one of the respective axes. The system also includes a processing device for triangulating three-dimensional positions of the light point devices based upon the one-dimensional information. The system is very fast because the necessary processing is distributed to be maximally parallel.
