Publication number: 20230375253Abstract: A refrigerator shelving system includes a stationary shelf, a pair of first and second sliders supported under opposite sides of the stationary shelf and configured to move longitudinally front and rear support tabs associated with each of the sliders and longitudinally spaced from each other, and a folding shelf. A front pair of opposing suspenders have first portions pivotally attached to the sliders and a second portions pivotally attached to the folding shelf. A rear pair of opposing suspenders have first portions pivotally attached to the sliders and second portions pivotally attached to the folding shelf. The folding shelf is movable from a deployed position, in which the front and rear suspenders are vertical to place the folding shelf under, and spaced from, the stationary shelf, to a folded position in which the front and rear suspenders are horizontal and disposed on top surfaces of the front and rear support tabs to nest the folding shelf under the stationary shelf.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2023Publication date: November 23, 2023Inventors: Anant Karanjikar, Umakant Suresh Katu, Vishal Shankar Marathe, Kailash Shravan More, Vinay M. Publication number: 20230324110Abstract: A refrigerator shelving system includes a first shelf, a second shelf, and a slide member. The first shelf has ramped surfaces defining a guideway and a nest disposed within the guideway. The second shelf is suspended from the first shelf. The slide member is secured to the second shelf. The slide member is configured to slide linearly relative to the second shelf. The slide member has a protrusion extending outward therefrom. In response to upward forces acting on the second shelf, the protrusion engages the ramped surfaces and the nest to transition between operational and stowed positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2023Publication date: October 12, 2023Inventors: Anant KARANJIKAR, Umakant Suresh KATU, Kailash Shravan MORE, Sunil PATIL, Vinay M. Patent number: 11740012Abstract: A refrigerator shelving system includes an upper shelf, suspenders, rails, and a lower shelf. The upper shelf has nests disposed along a bottom side of the upper shelf. The suspenders are rotatably secured to the upper shelf. The rails are suspended from the upper shelf via the suspenders. The lower shelf is slidably secured to the rails and has bosses extending laterally outward therefrom. Each of the bosses are configured to engage one of the nests to maintain the lower shelf in a stowed position. The lower shelf is configured to slide forward from the stowed position to an intermediate position via the rails to disengage the bosses from the nests. The lower shelf is configured to rotate downward and rearward via the suspenders to transition from the intermediate position to an operational position.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2022Date of Patent: August 29, 2023Assignee: Whirlpool CorporationInventors: Anant Karanjikar, Umakant Suresh Katu, Kailash Shravan More, Sunil Patil, Vinay M. Publication number: 20220163253Abstract: An appliance door assembly includes a front panel spaced apart from a rear panel. A door adjustment assembly is coupled with the rear panel and includes a housing that defines a cavity. A driven member is positioned within the cavity and extends at least partially from the housing. The driven member is movable between a first position and a second position. A driving member is rotatably engaged with the driven member and is configured to rotate the driven member. A bracket is coupled with the door adjustment assembly at a first end and coupled with the rear panel at a second end. The bracket abuts the housing of the door adjustment assembly when the driven member is in the first position and is spaced apart from the housing of the door adjustment assembly when the driven member is in the second position.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2021Publication date: May 26, 2022Applicant: WHIRLPOOL CORPORATIONInventors: Jackson Felipe Karl, Kailash Shravan More, Sunil Mahadev Patil, Vinay M. Patent number: 10873326Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for measuring input voltage in an alternating current (AC) system is provided. The method includes measuring a half-cycle time of an AC signal by: detecting, using a zero crossing detector (ZCD), a first edge of the AC signal; in response to detecting the first edge, using a timer to determine a start time; detecting, using the microcontroller, a subsequent edge of the square wave output of ZCD signal; and, in response to detecting the subsequent edge, using the timer to determine a stop time and a length of time that lapsed from the start and stop times. The method further includes determining an overall value that corresponds to at least one length of time, determining, based on the overall value, an input voltage range that corresponds to the overall value, and using the input voltage to cause the AC system to take an action.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2019Date of Patent: December 22, 2020Assignee: Eaton Intelligent Power LimitedInventors: Swapnil Sabde, Gayatri Vinod Pandit, Vinay M. Patent number: 10563912Abstract: A refrigerator drawer assembly includes a drawer body, a first wheel mounted on a first side of the drawer body, and a second wheel mounted on a second side of the drawer body. The first and second wheels have respective first and second widths. The assembly also includes a first guide body including a first track defining a closed side and an open side. The first guide body defines a lip surrounding at least a portion of the open side and spaced from the closed side at a first distance generally equal to the first width. The first wheel is at least partially received between the closed side and the lip. The assembly further includes a second guide body has a second track defining closed side and an open side. The open side is spaced from the closed side at a second distance greater than the second width.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2018Date of Patent: February 18, 2020Assignee: Whirlpool CorporationInventors: Shrawan Kumar, Vinay M.
