Publication number: 20190108440Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products implementing data enrichment using global structure learning are disclosed. An information enrichment system predicts a likely canonical name from a transaction record in which names may be shortened, or extra token(s) inserted. In a training phase, the information enrichment system determines tag patterns based on labeled and unlabeled training transaction records. The tag patterns include co-occurrence probability and sequential order of co-occurrence of tags. In a testing phase, the information enrichment system receives a test transaction record. The information enrichment system predicts a likely tag sequence from the test transaction record based on the tag patterns. The information enrichment system predicts a canonical name based on likely tag values and token composition. The information enrichment system can then enrich the test transaction record with the predicted canonical name.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2017Publication date: April 11, 2019Inventors: Atif Adib, Deepak Chandrakant Patil, Preethy Varma, Priyanka Sawant, Vinay Manjunath, Om Dadaji Deshmukh

Patent number: 8321204Abstract: A system for generating a lexicon of words, organized into weighted categories, from a user defined set of example documents for detecting suspicious e-mails from a mail archive is provided. The system uses a set of example documents and e-mails given by the user to probabilistically find possible lists of critical words. The obtained list is now applied on an archive of e-mails. The system generates an inverted index on the mails from the archive to facilitate search for the key phrases. User feedback is taken on the results obtained and corrections in the lexicon made if necessary. Thus, the mails are scanned based on user feedback, user defined words and automatically generated word list. These lists constantly adapt as e-mails in the archive change. The system then combines all these to present the user with several possible sets of keywords and their relative importance that can be used as a policy for a desired level of accuracy. The system also shows the user any change if the set is modified.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2009Date of Patent: November 27, 2012Inventors: Malathi Kalyan, Abhi Dattasharma, Ram Lokendar Singh, Sanjay Subhash Panakkal, Dinesh Rama Hedge, Vinay Manjunath Naik

Patent number: 7345480Abstract: A method, system, and software arrangement for automatically prescribing long-axis magnetic resonance imaging (“MRI”) slices of a target are provided. An MRI image is captured along a short-axis slice of the target. Vectorial components, including slice selection, phase-encoding, and frequency encoding vectors, are extracted from the short-axis slice. Vectorial components are established for a long-axis slice using the vectorial components of the short-axis slice, by transposing the slice-selection and frequency-encoding vectors. A plurality of long-axis slice planes are defined in a manner positioned relative to the long axis slice, rotating about a long axis in a direction of a long-axis frequency encoding vector. In one exemplary embodiment, frequency and phase shifts are established for each of the long-axis slices, for use in RF transmitting and receiving.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2004Date of Patent: March 18, 2008Assignee: New York UniversityInventors: Vinay Manjunath Pai, Leon Axel
