  • Patent number: 11905733
Abstract: A dampener for an exit device may be disposed between a portion of an exit device actuator and an exit device chassis so that the dampener dampens vibrations to reduce noise of the exit device and/or inhibit unintentional movement of the actuator to an actuated position. The dampener may be composed at least partially of a viscoelastic material.

Date of Patent: February 20, 2024
Assignee: ASSA ABLOY Accessories and Door Controls Group, Inc.
Inventors: Vincent Baker, Michael Connell, Michael Swearman, Douglas Thompson
  • Patent number: 11781354
Abstract: A patch fitting coverplate or cap for a patch fitting that extends a pivot point centerline of the patch fitting. The patch fitting coverplate may be constructed as a retrofit cover to integrate a patch fitting of one standard pivot point centerline to a door pane of another standard pivot point centerline. A patch fitting assembly including the patch fitting coverplate and patch fitting may also include buffers to fill in the interior portion between the extended patch fitting coverplate and the patch fitting. The patch fitting may be tapered at an edge close to the pivot axis of the door pane for smooth actuation of the door pane.

  • Patent number: 11214996
Abstract: A retrofit latch adapter is configured to replace a pre-existing roller head latch assembly of a pre-existing exit device. The retrofit latch adapter may include a flat latch head that may provide additional security for a door compared with the pre-existing roller head pre-existing latch assembly.

  • Patent number: 11053709
Abstract: A door latch slide for engagement with a strike plate in a doorjamb. The door latch slide comprises a latch slide body engageable with an actuator device mounted on the door for moving the latch slide toward and away from the strike plate, the latch slide body being adjustable with respect to the door to adjust extension distance toward the strike plate. A latchbolt extends from the latch slide body and has a non-flat sweep side for contacting an outside of the strike plate to cause retraction of the latchbolt away from the strike plate as the door is closing and an opposite flat face for contacting an inside of an opening in a face of the strike plate to prevent the door from opening when the latchbolt is extended toward and into the strike plate opening.

  • Patent number: 7265360
Abstract: An electromagnetic radiation source is disclosed. The electromagnetic radiation source includes an anode having a first conductor, a second conductor positioned relative to the first conductor, a plurality of pole pieces coupled to at least one of the first conductor and the second, and at least one mechanical phase reversal positioned along the first conductor or second conductor. Adjacent pole pieces are separated by a gap. The electromagnetic radiation source also includes a cathode separated from the anode by an anode-cathode space, electrical contacts for applying a dc voltage between the anode and the cathode and establishing an electric field across the anode-cathode space, and at least one magnet arranged to provide a dc magnetic field within the anode-cathode space generally normal to the electric field.

  • Patent number: 3952179
Abstract: An improved rotary cutting die and method of producing it are disclosed wherein a cylindrical die blank or support has a weld bead applied on its peripheral surface in a configuration corresponding to the design of the product to be formed. The weld bead is then ground to provide a working surface spaced a predetermined distance radially above the die blank surface whereupon the weld bead is electrical discharge machined to form the required cutting edges coincident with said working surface.
