  • Patent number: 11778242
Abstract: Apparatus and method for mass distribution of content. A system for mass distribution of content includes a media server configured to receive content comprising a real-time broadcast of a live performance. The media server generates a content signal representative of the received content and a multicast network coupled to the media server encrypts the content signal and multiplies it to generate a multicast signal. The multicast signal, transmitted by a multicast network via the data communication network, comprises a plurality of encrypted unicast signals. One or more receivers are coupled to the multicast network via the data communication network and each receives one of the encrypted unicast signals of the multicast signal via the data communication network. Each of the one or more receivers decrypts the received unicast signal and broadcasts the decrypted unicast signal to one or more entertainment pods for consumption.

  • Patent number: 11584010
Abstract: Techniques for corrugate and chipboard knocked-down case inspection and assembly are described herein. In one example, the disclosed techniques include a method to inspect and assemble a knocked-down case. In the example, a measurement of at least one aspect of the knocked-down case is obtained. A difference is determined between the obtained measurement and a standard measurement and/or a range of standard measurements. Programming of a case-handling tool is executed that is based at least in part on the determined difference. In an example, the programming is configured to adjust for and/or compensate for differences between the actual knocked-down case and a knocked-down case that is within a specification. A case-handling tool is operated responsive to the executed programming to at least partially erect the knocked-down case into an erected case.

  • Patent number: 11292134
Abstract: Techniques for corrugate and chipboard knocked-down case inspection and manufacturing are described. In an example, a piece of cardboard is cut according to a shape of a knocked-down case, and a first plurality of measurements are made. The piece of cut cardboard is scored to create a plurality of fold-lines, based at least in part on the first plurality of measurements, and a second plurality of measurements are made. A fold-line between a major panel and a minor panel is folded, based at least in part on the second plurality of measurements, and a third plurality of measurements are made. A fold-line of a tab of the piece of cut cardboard is folded, based at least in part on the third plurality of measured distances. The tab is glued to a panel of the piece of cardboard to form a knocked-down case.

  • Patent number: 10413959
Abstract: An apparatus and method for crimping coupling rings are provided. The apparatus generally has a lower clamp head and an upper clamp head that may be drawn together by a fastener. The lower and upper clamp heads are designed to receive a first portion and a second portion of a coupling ring, respectively. A first and second post holds the clamp heads adjacent to each other. The upper clamp head is secured to the first post such that the upper clamp head may rotate in a generally circular motion to switch the apparatus from a closed to an open configuration, or vice versa. When the apparatus is placed in a closed configuration, the fastener may be engaged to draw the clamp heads together to increase the compressive force imposed on a coupling ring until the coupling ring becomes crimped.

  • Patent number: 10023390
Abstract: A reconfigurable chain guide system is described herein. In one example, movable and stationary pieces of chain guide define a chain path. An actuator moves the movable piece of chain guide between first and second positions with respect to the stationary piece of chain guide. A length of the chain path is not changed when the movable piece of chain guide is moved between the first and second positions. This may be accomplished, for example, if the movable piece includes first and second curved segments, which contact the chain in the first and second positions of the movable piece of chain guide, respectively. In an operational example, a chain traveling the chain path may carry a flight lug, which may engage or not engage cases moving on a conveyor depending on a position of the movable piece of chain guide.
