Patent number: 10946990Abstract: Techniques and systems for seaming containers are described herein. The canning system can include a seamer assembly and a seamer controller. The seamer assembly includes a load cell assembly which weighs the containers and communicates with the seamer controller to determine if the container is to have a lid seamed onto the container based on the satisfaction of a predetermined weight criteria. The seamer controller is designed to receive weight measurements of the container, determine a weight criteria and whether the container has satisfied the weight criteria, command the seamer assembly whether to seam a lid to the container based on the satisfaction of the weight criteria, and send a command to the reject station to remove the container if the weight criteria is not satisfied.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2018Date of Patent: March 16, 2021Assignee: ALPHA BREWING OPERATIONSInventors: Matthew Rennerfeldt, Vincent C. Patent number: 6341517Abstract: A wire bending device includes an upright frame and a wire feed hopper for dispensing wire rods. A wire bending section is mounted on the frame, and at least one transport arm is pivotally mounted on the frame, the transport arm operative to transport wire rods from the hopper to the wire bending section. The wire bending section includes a wire securement device mounted on the frame, the rotatable wire securement device operative to secure one end of a wire rod and rotate the wire rod about its longitudinal central axis and a wire bending unit movably mounted on the frame. The wire bending unit includes a wire bend head aligned with the center longitudinal axis of the rotatable wire securement device, the wire bending unit adapted to move on the frame such that the wire bend head remains aligned with the center longitudinal axis of the rotatable wire securement device.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2001Date of Patent: January 29, 2002Assignee: Waitt/Fremont Machine L.L.C.Inventors: David J. Patent number: 5345986Abstract: An apparatus and method for use with a router guide plate adapted to be secured to the underside of the router, the router guide plate including guide pins, the apparatus including a base platform having top and bottom surfaces, and a guide pin receiving channel mounted on the top surface of the base platform, the channel adapted to receive and guide the guide pins on the router guide plates. Stop blocks are mounted on the base platform adjacent the channel for preventing advance of the router guide plate beyond a predetermined point and an alignment bar is adjustably and removably mounted on the bottom surface of the base platform, the alignment bar being operative to align a piece of wood to be routed relative to the guide pin receiving channel. The method includes steps of providing the above described apparatus and positioning the base platform adjacent the work face of a work piece such that the bottom surface of the base platform is at least partially overlying the outer surface of the work place.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 1993Date of Patent: September 13, 1994Inventor: Vincent C. Patent number: 4294297Abstract: An apparatus and method for guiding a router bit relative to a guide surface on a workpiece includes a pair of guide pins adapted to be supported in generally fixed relation to the router bit and in spaced-apart relation from one another and the router bit. The guide pins are maintained in continuous engagement with the guide surface of the workpiece and moved therealong while the router bit cuts into the face of the workpiece to form a routed line thereon. In one embodiment, the guide pins are secured to the underside of the router tool at positions spaced apart from one another and radially spaced from the router bit protruding from the underside of the tool so that the router tool may be guided along the workpiece by the continuous engagement of the guide pins with the guide surface.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 1979Date of Patent: October 13, 1981Inventor: Vincent C. Patent number: 4260040Abstract: A sawhorse having a crossbar and support legs at each end of the crossbar is provided with a workpiece support member supported on the sawhorse at a position laterally offset from the crossbar and at least as high as the crossbar. A second workpiece support member may be arranged on the opposite side of the crossbar and third and fourth workpiece support members may be provided in longitudinally spaced relation from the first and second workpiece support members respectively. The workpiece support members may have flat top surfaces disposed in a common plane situated higher than the crossbar so that a workpiece supported thereon may be cut along a line directed between the workpiece support members and either parallel to or perpendicular to the sawhorse crossbar with both cut portions of the workpiece supported on the workpiece support members.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 1979Date of Patent: April 7, 1981Inventor: Vincent C.
