  • Patent number: 12188101
Abstract: A method for manufacturing at least one portion of a part using successive deposition of layers, involving the steps of: a) depositing a first layer of a molten metal on a substrate such that a first metal strip is formed on the substrate; b) depositing a second layer of a molten metal on the first strip such that a second metal strip is formed on the first strip; and c) repeating steps a) and then b) for each new metal layer to be deposited on a preceding strip until the at least one portion of the part has been formed. The method may further include step d) compressing the formed bead after performing n instances of step c), n being greater than or equal to 1. The step of compressing the formed bead may be performed before the complete cooling of said bead.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 17, 2017
Date of Patent: January 7, 2025
    Assignee: SAFRAN
Inventors: Daniel Cornu, Jawad Badreddine, Vincent Dessoly

  • Patent number: 8881395
Abstract: A method for increasing the coefficient of adhesion between two parts that rotate as one with a rotor, for example a turbomachine rotor, those parts pressing against one another via pressing faces. The method includes milling at least one of the pressing faces so as to modify its surface finish and increase its roughness, then covering the or each machined face with a thin layer of a material that is hard and has a high coefficient of friction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 13, 2009
Date of Patent: November 11, 2014
    Assignee: SNECMA
Inventors: Vincent Dessoly, Claude Marcel Mons, Ana Carmen Viguera Sancho
  • Publication number: 20110129310
Abstract: A method of angle rounding at an intersection between two surfaces of a workpiece, the method including machining away a minimum volume of material from the intersection of the two surfaces, thereby giving a convex rounded shape to the intersection of the two surfaces, the curved shape being located relative to the workpiece on the outside of a circular arc tangential to the two surfaces at the point where the curved shape connects with the two surfaces.

  • Patent number: 7600953
Abstract: A method of machining a workpiece with a rotary cutting tool extending along a longitudinal axis and including a first cutting portion including a plurality of first helical teeth having a helix direction and being designed to work in a first direction of rotation of the tool. The tool also includes a second cutting portion with a plurality of second helical teeth having, as helix direction, the same helix direction as the first cutting portion and being designed to work in a second direction of rotation of the tool, opposed to the first.
