Abstract: The surgical kit comprises at least one elongate strip for supporting the urethra of a patient, the strip comprising a knit of yarns forming empty spaces between one another, at least in the longitudinal middle portion of the strip that is to extend transversely under the urethra when the strip is implanted, said knit comprising both reinforcement constituted by longitudinal chains and an intermediate trellis transversely interconnecting the chains. In order to guarantee light obstructive support of the urethra, the treatment kit further comprises suture means adapted to be connected to the chains of the knit by being passed through the empty spaces so as to join the middle portion of the strip with the anatomical tissue under the urethra at at least two connection spots in alignment in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the strip.

Abstract: The implant (2) comprises two elongate flexible strips (20, 30) that are substantially inextensible in their long direction and that comprise firstly respective middle portions (20C, 30C) that are disposed side by side in adjacent manner along the side edge of each strip that faces towards the other strip, and where said strips are mechanically connected to each other, and secondly respective intermediate portions (20B, 30B, 20D, 30D) that extend between the middle portion and each longitudinal end (20A, 30A, 20E, 30E) of each strip, and where the strips are separate from each other. This implant thus guarantees reliable obstructive support of the urethra, it being possible to put the two strips under tension independently of each other with the middle portions thereof acting on the urethra over the total width of the strips.
