Publication number: 20170289751Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide techniques which enable a mobile computing device to seamlessly configure an auxiliary device without a user having to provide input to an application or other component(s) executing on the mobile computing device to select the auxiliary device for configuration. The mobile computing device may determine, in the absence of such input, whether the auxiliary device is in sufficiently close physical proximity to the mobile computing device for the mobile computing device to configure the auxiliary device. If so, configuration of the auxiliary device may proceed automatically, or may be performed semi-automatically or manually by the user of the mobile computing device.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2016Publication date: October 5, 2017Applicant: ESKI Inc.Inventors: Vincent Leclerc, Vadim Kravtchenko, Jean-Sébastien Rousseau, Justin Alexandre Francis

Patent number: 9648707Abstract: The present invention concerns a projection system for providing a distributed manifestation within an environment. The projection system includes a data generator for generating a plurality of data sets of associated state data and spatial coordinate data. The projection system also includes a projector in communication with the data generator for receiving the data sets. The projector is provided with a signal generating module for generating a plurality of electromagnetic signals, and a projecting module for projecting each of the electromagnetic signals towards a target location within the environment. The projection system also includes a plurality of receiving units distributed within the environment, each receiving unit having a receiver for receiving one of the electromagnetic signals when the receiving unit is positioned in the corresponding target location, each receiving unit being adapted to perform a change of state in response to the state data.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2015Date of Patent: May 9, 2017Assignee: ESKI Inc.Inventors: Vincent Leclerc, Patrick Keroulas, Vincent de Belleval

Publication number: 20170094459Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to capturing a record of an event which is individualized to a specific event attendee. Event attendees carry a wearable device configured to periodically transmit a payload that may, for example, include an identifier for the wearable device. The device's transmissions may be received by one or more receiver components located at the event venue. Each receiver component may have one or more associated content capture components configured to capture content (e.g., video, audio, text, etc.) relating to the event as it is ongoing. The location of each receiver component over time is known, and so receipt of transmissions from the wearable device by different receiver components over time indicates an approximate location of the attendee over time, and thus the vantage point(s) from which the attendee witnessed the event.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2016Publication date: March 30, 2017Applicant: ESKI Inc.Inventors: Vincent Leclerc, Vadim Kravtchenko, Jean-Sébastien Rousseau, Justin Alexandre Francis

Publication number: 20170091205Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to capturing, recording and sharing information relating to a user's important or memorable experiences. The capture of information relating to an experience may be initiated automatically, manually and/or using some combination of automatic and manual techniques, and the information may comprise video, audio and/or photos of the user and/or the experience, metadata describing aspects of the experience, information accessible via the World Wide Web, an indication of friends and associates in proximity to the user during the experience, and/or any other suitable information. Information relating to one user's experiences may be made accessible to other users, so as to create shared experiences and deepen social connections between users. Users may thus “bookmark” important or memorable life experiences, keep a record of information relating to those experiences, and share that information with others.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2016Publication date: March 30, 2017Applicant: ESKI Inc.Inventors: Vincent Leclerc, Vadim Kravtchenko, Justin Alexandre Francis, Jean-Sébastien Rousseau

Patent number: 5336880Abstract: Process to correct distortion of radiological images by obtaining the image of a regular test chart and assessing the distortions to which the image is subjected. This assessment is used to correct normal images obtained with the installation. One obtains automatically the distortion corrections to be applied to the image elements by eliminating (55) the image background by creating (63) images of similar columns, by labelling (66) the columns detected and by calculating (71) the co-ordinates of the intersections of these columns. The calculation of the intersection co-ordinates is improved by replacing (89) these columns by straight segments whose position is calculated by a regression of least error squares over all the image elements belonging to this column and situated near this intersection. Preferably, all these calculations should be made through implementing mathematical morphology operations.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 1992Date of Patent: August 9, 1994Assignee: General Electric CGR S.A.Inventors: Vincent Leclerc, Catherine Picard, Blandine Lavayssiere

Patent number: 5048103Abstract: Images representing one and the same scene, but acquired under conditions such taht the subject has moved, are automatically reset by making an automatic selection of a homogenous population of landmarks and by computing the shift vectors associated with these landmarks. It is shown that, in order to select the landmarks, it is worthwhile to characterize the image by a certain number of characteristic mangitudes representing the solidity of these landmarks. The solidity of the landmarks is the ability of a landmark to be the site of an exact measurement of shift for a required precision.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1990Date of Patent: September 10, 1991Assignee: General Electric CGR S.A.Inventors: Vincent Leclerc, Jean Lienard
