  • Publication number: 20210370429
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed relating to welding sequence guidance using three-dimensional (3D) models. In some examples, a welding sequence program may use 3D models, rather than two-dimensional (2D) images, to guide operators through welding sequences. Since only one 3D model must be saved for each sequence, rather than potentially hundreds of 2D images, substantial memory space may be saved. Additionally, the same 3D model may be used for several welding sequences. Further, the 3D model may be animated to help the operator understand changes in perspective between steps of the welding sequence.

  • Publication number: 20190375443
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a bucket caddy comprising a U-shaped frame, a plurality of caster wheels, two vertical members and two vertical members. The U-shaped frame comprising a first horizontal member, a second horizontal member, and a third horizontal member, wherein a first end of the first horizontal member is connected to a first end of the third horizontal member and a first end of the second horizontal member is connected to a second end of the third horizontal member. The plurality of caster wheels supports the U-shaped frame. The two vertical members comprising a first vertical member and a second vertical member, wherein the lower end of each the first vertical member and the second vertical member is attached to the first horizontal member and the second horizontal member respectively. The bucket holder is secured to the two vertical members via two removable pivots and two cotter pins.

  • Patent number: 8942421
Abstract: A method of geodetically locating pixels of a captured image of a planetary body comprises the steps of: detecting an object on the planetary body using an imaging sensor viewing the planetary body; matching the object to a predetermined landmark on the planetary body; and updating, at a time tk, a state vector representing kinematics of the imaging sensor, and tk representing a present update time. Updating the state vector at the present time occurs if, and only if, the matching step is successful. In addition, the method includes computing a line-of-sight (LOS) vector from the imaging sensor to the planetary body, based on observations of the planetary body and the kinematics of the state vector; and geodetically locating the pixels of the captured image, based on the LOS vector. The LOS vector is based only on (a) the predetermined landmark and (b) a position command from a ground processing segment to the imaging sensor.

  • Patent number: 4879809
Abstract: Apparatus for terminating a ribbon cable formed of electrical conductors in a web of electrical insulation during the attaching thereof to a connector. The apparatus comprises a guide member releasably coupleable with the cable at a predetermined location with respect to the end of the cable. The apparatus also comprises means to sequentially couple the guide member and cable end in operative relationship with a series of processing stations whereat the guide member functions to accurately locate the cable end with respect to the operating mechanisms of the processing stations. Such processing stations are operative for the attaching of the cable end to a connector. Also disclosed is the method of terminating a ribbon cable with such apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4824384
Abstract: A connector adapted to couple stripped electrically conductive wires of a flat cable with the traces of a printed circuit board through a mating connector upstanding from the printed circuit board. The connector comprises a housing formed with a longitudinal central slot adapted to receive an electrically conductive ground bus. The upper end of the bus is adapted to retain stripped ground wires of the flat cable by crimping and soldering. The lower end of the bus is adapted to be received within the mating connector. A plurality of parallel apertures are formed in the housing on opposite sides of the bus to receive signal contact, the upper ends of which are adapted to retain stripped signal wires of the flat cable by soldering. The lower ends of the signal contacts are adapted to be received within the mating connector.

  • Patent number: 3975812
Abstract: Apparatus for connecting pairs of wires to each other has an operating zone through which a continuous strip of connecting devices is fed from an entrance side to an exit side thereof. The connecting devices have wire-receiving ends which face laterally of the strip and have separate metallic connecting means in each of the ends. A pair of wires are located in the operating zone with one wire in alignment with each of the wire-receiving ends. Insertion punches on each side of the strip insert each wire into a metallic connecting means. The process is then repeated for the second pair of wires to connect the pairs to each other. The connectors are fed to the exit side of the operating zone, and removed from the strip. The apparatus can also be used for making tap connections to the conductors in a cable.
