  • Publication number: 20090138490
Abstract: Systems (1) such as photo organizer systems for automatically annotating information such as electronic images in dependence of relationship data (111,112) with respect to a first user (101) and a second user (102) and a subject such as another user (103) are provided with first means (11) such as a first table/database for, from points of view of the respective users (101,102), linking the subject such as the other user (103) and respective annotations (42,45) and with second means (12) such as a second table/database for linking the information and the subject such as the other user (103) and with third means (13) such as a user device for annotating the information with the first annotation (42) on behalf of the first user (101) and for annotating the information with the second annotation (45) on behalf of the second user (102).

  • Publication number: 20080284799
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for zooming on a display device, instead of zooming just on the pixels in the display, zooming is effected on discernable objects comprising pixel in the displayed image. Initially, spaces between the discernable objects is reduced, and then the discernable objects are increased in size until the objects reach a minimum surface area, which is the minimum size, based on the size and resolution of the display, recognizable by a user. Zooming is then suspended until the user selects one of the objects. Zooming is then allowed to continue on only the selected object until the maximum zooming factor is reached.

  • Publication number: 20080288895
Abstract: A 3-D display device in which zooming is controlled based on the distance that a user's finger is from the display screen, generates a virtual drop shadow of the user's finger at the detected X/Y position of the user's finger with respect to the display screen. The virtual drop shadow represents the center of the zooming of the display image. In addition the size and darkness of the drop shadow is changed relative to the distance that the user's finger is from the display screen.

  • Publication number: 20080275867
Abstract: Assisting a user in locating particular content of interest from a collection of content including associated feature values and corresponding features. A user selects one of the plurality of feature values characterizing the collection of content and filters the content using the selected filtering feature value. The system groups the filtered collection using a grouping feature. The grouping feature may be associated with the user-selected filtering feature value and/or may be determined from the feature values of the filtered collection. The process of filtering/grouping may be repeated as many times as needed to locate the particular content of interest.
