Abstract: A halogen-free fire-retardant thermoplastic composition composed of: 50% to 70% by weight of fire-retardant fillers, 0.1% to 45% by weight of a copolymer of ethylene and of an ethylenic monomer bearing a polar function, 10% to 25% by weight of a non-functionalized very low density polyethylene (VLDPE), optionally, up to 10% of additives, and 0.1% to 10% by weight of a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), characterized in that the density of the very low density polyethylene (VLDPE) is between 0.85 and 0.91, in that the density of the linear low density polyethylene is greater than 0.91 and in that the linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) is grafted with maleic anhydride grafts present on the main chain. Also, a cable, tube, pipe or the like, a layer of which is formed with said composition.

Abstract: A premix composition for bitumens, including: from 35% to 65%, by weight of the composition, of bitumen, from 5% to 65%, by weight of the composition, of a first copolymer of an alpha-olefin and of an unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, characterized in that it additionally includes from 5% to 65% by weight of a second copolymer of an alpha-olefin, an unsaturated epoxide and an unsaturated carboxylic acid ester and in that the aforesaid first copolymer and the aforesaid second copolymer represent between 35% and 65% by weight of said composition. Also, a bituminous mix including this composition and also the use of this composition for the preparation of such a mix.

Abstract: A masterbatch including an ethylene copolymer and at least one ethylene comonomer having at least one polar group, an organic peroxide, and an anti-oxidant, the organic peroxide accounting for 0.2 to 100 parts by weight, for 100 parts by weight of the copolymer, and the anti-oxidant accounting for 0.02 to 50 parts by weight, for 100 parts by weight of the copolymer. Also, methods for preparing the masterbatch and to the uses of said masterbatch for manufacturing insulating layers for electric cables and for limiting or preventing the water tree phenomenon for electric cables.
