The blade is mounted to the housing with a blade support structure. A guard is at the distal end portion of the housing and has a plurality of projections substantially perpendicular to the blade that define a plurality of slots. A washout cavity beneath the blade is defined by an inner surface of the guard and an inner surface of the blade support structure. The washout cavity has an open area of at least 80 percent for allowing unobstructed passage of water substantially along an entire length of the blade.

The cap has a top surface, a front edge, and an arcuate surface connecting the top surface and the front edge. A first blade between the cap and the guard has a cutting edge nearest the cap. The handle has a distal gripping portion and a proximal end portion defining an open area there through. The proximal end portion of the handle has an undercut section. The interconnect member is mounted to the cartridge and includes a latch with a free end that is releasably engaged to the undercut section of the handle. The button has a distal end portion supported by the proximal end portion of the handle and a proximal end portion supported by the free end of the latch such that actuating the button deflects the free end of the latch and disengages the free end from the undercut section of the handle.
