Patent number: 9461608Abstract: A radio frequency filter (1) comprises an input impedance adaption section (2) and a tank capacitor section (3). Thereby, the capacity of the input impedance adaption section (2) does not comprise a fixed capacitor, it only comprises switchable capacitors. Further, the tank capacitor section (3) does not comprise a fixed capacitor as well it only comprises switchable capacitors. The capacity of the input impedance adaption section (2) can be tuned independent of the tank capacity, section capacity by means of switchable capacitors. Hence, bandwidth and frequency of the radio frequency filter can be modified independent of each other. The imput impendance adaption section (2) is connected in series between the input and output of the filter (1). The tank capacitor section (3) is shunt connected between the input-output series path of the filter (1) and ground.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2008Date of Patent: October 4, 2016Assignee: NXP B.V.Inventors: Frederic Mercier, Luca Lococo, Vincent Rambeau, Jean-Marc Paris

Patent number: 9059774Abstract: The present invention relates to a tilt correction method and a corresponding apparatus for correcting tilt of RF signals in a wanted channel having a predetermined frequency range, in a signal path of a communication equipment, wherein the RF signals are down-converted to an intermediate frequency of an IF domain. The method comprises the steps of: providing a predetermined RF signal having a particular frequency to the signal path, detecting an output signal in the intermediate frequency (IF) domain and outputting a detection result, repeating the providing step and the detecting step for plural RF signals of different frequencies within the channel frequency range, determining the tilt of the RF signals in the frequency range by comparing the detection results, and correcting the tilt to obtain a minimized tilt of the wanted channel depending upon the determined tilt.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2009Date of Patent: June 16, 2015Assignee: NXP, B.V.Inventors: Vincent Rambeau, Frederic Mercier, Luca Lo Coco

Patent number: 7750866Abstract: An antenna assembly for wireless communication equipment comprises an antenna structure comprising at least a loop type antenna arranged to deliver a first current when it is used in a balanced mode and/or a second current when it is used in an unbalanced mode with respect to a ground plane from received radio signals, and current extraction device coupled to the antenna structure and arranged to be placed in at least a first state in which the current extraction device delivers the first or second current and a second state in which the current extraction device simultaneously delivers the first and second currents either separately or mixed together.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2006Date of Patent: July 6, 2010Assignee: NXP B.V.Inventors: Vincent Rambeau, Jan Van Sinderen, Johannes H. Publication number: 20090195472Abstract: An antenna assembly (AA), for wireless communication equipment, comprises i) an antenna structure comprising at least a loop type antenna (LA) arranged to deliver a first current when it is used in a balanced mode and/or a second current when it is used in an unbalanced mode with respect to a ground plane (GP) from received radio signals, and E) current extraction means (A1) coupled to the antenna structure (LA) and arranged to be placed in at least a first state in which they deliver the first or second current and a second state in which they simultaneously deliver the first and second currents either separately or mixed together.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2006Publication date: August 6, 2009Applicant: NXP B.V.Inventors: Vincent Rambeau, Jan Van Sinderen, Johannes H. Publication number: 20090021332Abstract: An integrated variable capacitance with low losses comprises an array (1) of switched capacitors (2-8). When using an array (1) of switched capacitors (2-8) to form a quasi continuously variable capacitor, a continuity of capacitance as function of the digital control signal to the array (1) leads to overall behavior of the series resistance of the array (1) as function of the capacitance that for some applications may be undesirable. Therefore a topology for a switched array (1) is proposed that allows to set series resistance relatively independent from capacitance. The array (1) may be fully or partially integrated in tunable LC filters, also in TV tuners.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2005Publication date: January 22, 2009Applicant: KONINKLIJKE PHILIPS ELECTRONICS N.V.Inventors: Johannes Hubertus Antonius Brekelmans, Vincent Rambeau, Jan Van Sinderen, Marc Godfriedus Marie Notten
