  • Publication number: 20230138173
Abstract: A marking module for an appliance intended for applying a colorant for permanent makeup or tattooing has a channel and at least one needle that is able to move longitudinally in said channel between a retracted position in which a distal end of the needle is located inside said channel and an extended position in which the distal end of the needle protrudes from said channel. The marking module has a reservoir of colorant and said reservoir communicates with said channel only in a region situated downstream of the needle when this needle is located in said retracted position. An appliance for applying a colorant for permanent makeup or tattooing has a marking module as defined above and a module for actuating the needle of the marking module.

  • Publication number: 20200284639
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring a volume of liquid includes a support for receiving an at least partially transparent receptacle having at least one cavity for holding a liquid; a plenoptic camera facing the support; a pattern provided so as to be viewable through the receptacle by the plenoptic camera; and a control unit communicating with at least the camera and adapted to carry out the steps of: making at least one plenoptic image of the surface of the liquid by the plenoptic camera, determining a surface topography of the liquid on the basis of the at least one image, the surface topography of the liquid being measured at least partially based on distortion of the pattern, and calculating the volume of liquid based on the measured surface topography and at least one known dimension and/or position of at least part of the cavity.

  • Patent number: 10724889
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of measuring a volume of a liquid provided in at least one receptacle, including the steps of: providing a receptacle having at least one cavity for holding a liquid; providing a plenoptic camera positioned so as to be able to image the surface of the liquid; positioning the receptacle such that the liquid surface faces an objective lens of the plenoptic camera; making at least one plenoptic image of the surface of the liquid by way of the plenoptic camera; determining a surface topography of the liquid on the basis of the at least one image; calculating the volume of liquid based on the measured surface topography and at least one known dimension and/or position of the cavity.

  • Patent number: 10074451
Abstract: Embodiments relate to an X-ray interferometer for imaging an object comprising: a phase grating for effecting in correspondence with the phase grating geometry a phase shift to at least a part of X-ray incident onto the phase grating; and an absorption grating for effecting in correspondence with the absorption grating geometry absorption to at least a part of X-ray incident onto the absorption grating. The grating period of the phase grating, and the grating period of the absorption grating may be dimensioned such that a detector for X-rays can be placed at a relatively large distance away from the absorption grating such the phase contrast sensitivity of the image of the object detected by the detector remains substantially unaffected.

  • Patent number: 9175755
Abstract: A mechanism for transmitting rotational power comprising: a link extending along a closed loop and continued by a succession of portions each having a longitudinal direction tangent to the closed loop; and temporary unification means comprising a plurality of self-locking means distributed at least along an active portion of a first drive circle, and comprising at least one rigid locking element simultaneously pressing against a first support surface of the first rotating element and a second support surface of a link portion facing the locking element. The first and second support surfaces are arranged so that one locking element of the first drive circle active portion is jammed between the support surfaces and is capable of self-unlocking when the corresponding self-locking means leaves the active portion. One of the support surfaces is a tangential gripping surface that is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the link portion against which the locking element presses.
