  • Patent number: 11098690
Abstract: A breaking waves power generator includes a platform, a plurality of water wheels rotatably mounted within the platform, and a deck plate mounted within the platform. The water wheels include a plurality of vanes, blades, paddles, or buckets that, when impacted by breaking water waves, cause rotation of the water wheels. Breaking water waves can travel over the deck plate. The deck plate has an angular position and horizontal position relative to the platform that are adjustable to guide the breaking water waves so that the water waves break against the vanes, blades, paddles, or buckets of the water wheels, causing rotation of the water wheels from which power is generated. A ramp is connected to the platform in front of the water wheels, over which water is guided to the platform so that water waves break against the water wheels.

  • Patent number: 8246407
Abstract: A surf perch may be configured to receive a surfboard and permits a user to insert a surfboard therein, allowing him or her to sit/float in an anchored position in the water while he or she awaits a satisfactory wave. The perch may include an octagonal hole disposed vertically therethrough, which creates a mooring system and controls the angle of the anchor line relative to that of the surf perch. Additionally, the surf perch may also include a backrest assembly, with a backrest being capable to rotate upward. Also, the surf perch may be equipped with leg protection chaps surrounding the portion of the user's legs that hang into the water.

  • Patent number: 6058154
Abstract: A sealable metal multipurpose canister for confining irradiated nuclear fuel assemblies and a sealing means therefor. The canister includes a tubular or cylindrical body having a vertical major axis and vertical wall, a lower end closed by a welded base and an open and sealable upper end having a vertical inner wall section including a transverse shoulder extending over at least a portion of the vertical inner wall. The sealing means includes a first solid metal sealing disk supported by the transverse shoulder and having a peripheral portion cooperating sealingly with the vertical inner wall, a second solid metal sealing disk resting on and above the first sealing disk and having a peripheral portion cooperating sealingly with the vertical inner wall and a gripping means located inside the upper end above the second sealing disk, and acting on the first and second sealing disks to create a leaktight seal.

  • Patent number: 4923427
Abstract: A surfing toy is provided in the form of a surfer standing on a surfboard, the two desirably being molded integrally. The device actually surfs, i.e. it stays at the front of a wave even if the wave foams, and rights itself quickly if it is knocked over by a wave. Important features include the provision of a weighted keel which is located below the rear half of the board. The board is desirably much wider than a conventional surfboard relative to its length.
