  • Patent number: 11953678
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe systems, methods, and structures for aberration correction of optical phased arrays that employ a corrective optical path difference (OPD) in the near-field of an OPA to correct or cancel out aberrations in emitted beams of the OPA including those reaching far-field distances by generating a spatially-varying OPD across the aperture of the OPA that is substantially equal and opposite to an equivalent OPD of the aberration(s).

  • Publication number: 20070162192
Abstract: A trainer system for radio-controlled vehicles in general, aircraft in particular, and more specifically for helicopters. A buddy-box slave unit utilizes a signal transmitted by a master unit to mimic the movements of the control inputs of the master unit.

  • Publication number: 20070122647
Abstract: Method of forming different diffusion aluminide coatings on different surface regions of the same superalloy substrate involves positioning the substrate in a coating chamber having a aluminum-bearing coating gas flowing therein with a first substrate surface region enclosed in a masking enclosure having one or more coating gas entrance apertures communicating the interior of the enclosure to the coating gas in the coating chamber and with a second substrate surface region freely communicated to the coating gas in the coating chamber, and gas phase aluminizing the substrate by heating the substrate to an elevated coating temperature in the coating chamber having the coating gas therein to concurrently form an outwardly-grown diffusion aluminide coating on the first substrate surface region and to form an inwardly-grown, diffusion aluminide coating on the second substrate surface region of the same substrate.

  • Patent number: 5247768
Abstract: The tent includes an inflatable frame which, when it is not inflated, is flaccid. The frame is continuous and is defined by a generally-tubular member. The frame includes segments which define a floor-forming portion and a pair of oppositely-facing, wall-forming portions. Means are provided to inflate the frame, when desired, to impart a measure of rigidity thereto. A fabric enclosure is provided to surround the frame. At least one substantially-rigid, elongated member is provided for insertion between frame segments defining the pair of oppositely-facing, wall-forming portions of the frame. Those portions are, thereby, maintained at a desired distance from one another.

  • Patent number: 4790592
Abstract: An automobile seat having an extendable-retractable protective covering for protecting the seat against exposure to the sun and soil is disclosed. The seat includes a retractable-extendable rolled covering mounted at the front of the seat below the seat bottom and behind a seat trim piece. The covering includes a combination retention member and grasp engaged to the trim piece to hold the shade in its stored position and providing for finger engagement to extend the covering over the seat.

  • Patent number: 4693515
Abstract: A headrest for an automotive vehicle seat is disclosed including a headrest frame including a lower portion extending along an upper exterior portion of the seatback and mounted to a mounting frame for generally pivotable forward and rearward movement. A first track provides for the forward and rearward movement and a bladder mounted between the mounted frame and headrest frame selectively expands and contracts to move the headrest frame along the track. The mounting frame is provided with a elongated portion extending into the interior of the seatback and includes a linear gear operated by a reversible motor driven gear for selectively vertically extending and retracting the headrest.

  • Patent number: 4685729
Abstract: A combination second passengers seat and console is disclosed including a hollow seat frame mounted between a primary passengers seat and a drivers seat for movement with the drivers seat and a compartmentalized compartment frame mounted for selective movement to an extended position whereat a console is formed and a retracted position within the seat frame whereat the second passengers seat is formed. A track and an operator controlled reversible motor driven lead screw provides for selective extension and retraction of the compartment frame.

  • Patent number: 4038767
Abstract: A flexible or yieldably supported advertising sign for installation on merchandise racks, showcases, carpet display stands or "waterfalls" and the like for appropriate and necessary information to prospective purchasers on the contained merchandise and adapted to maintain a vertical position when free of overlying items for full viewing and lying in substantial horizontal position when loaded by the weight of said items. The sign or flag is adapted to automatically return to vertical position when said load is removed for continuing advertising function. The sign comprises a clip, a base member to which the clip is secured, a poster frame or panel to receive and exhibit advertising material and information and means for mounting the panel vertically along the clip, said means including yieldable interconnecting elements between the lower portion of the panel and a wall of the clip thereby permitting the panel to deflect downwardly upon application of items of merchandise thereagainst.
