The wearable personal wireless media station may detect that the wireless earbud is docked to the wearable base station, play audio through a speaker of the wearable base station while the wireless earbud is docked to the wearable base station, detect that the wireless earbud is undocked from the wearable base station, cease to play sound through the speaker of the wearable base station in response to detecting that the wireless earbud is undocked from the wearable base station, and begin playing audio through the wireless earbud while the wireless earbud is undocked from the wearable base station.
