  • Publication number: 20240115371
Abstract: A vascular prosthesis may be implanted in a vessel, having substantially a T-shape, that includes a proximal tubular part forming the base of the “T” and a distal tubular part forming the head of the “T”. The second end portion of the distal tubular part is formed by a flap. The flap is opposed to a circumferential indentation in the deployed position. The structural frame of the flap includes an arched segment connected at its ends to the intermediate portion of the distal tubular part. The arched segment is bendable so as to form a joint for the folding/unfolding movement of the flap.

  • Publication number: 20240102024
Abstract: The present disclosure provides host cells, e.g., bacterial cells, that comprise a methionine decarboxylase enzyme for the treatment of diseases and disorders associated with methionine metabolism in a subject. The disclosure further provides pharmaceutical compositions and methods of treating disorders associated with methionine metabolism, such as homocystinuria.

  • Patent number: 10096943
Abstract: A device for restraining a coupling from disengaging is provided. The coupling includes a plug member and a socket member. The plug member couples with the socket member. The device includes an elastic member. The elastic member has a slot in a first portion. The elastic member detachably connects to the socket member at a first end and operably engages to the plug member at a second end through the slot.

  • Patent number: 6342199
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for conducting a chemical reaction characterized by an equilibrium in a reaction system designed as a loop reactor, said loop reactor comprising a reactor vessel (1), at least one loop connected to said reactor vessel (1) each by means of an outlet and an inlet, said loop comprising means (3) for pumping over a fluid reaction material, at least one he exchanger (4), optionally means (5) for feeding said reaction material into Me reactor vessel (1) and a separate gas loop (8) which is connected to the gas space of the reactor vessel (1) above the reaction mixture and has separate means for feeding a gas into the gas loop (8), for withdrawing gas from the gas loop (8) and/or for treating said gas circulating in the gas loop (8), said process comprising the steps of circulating and/or treating said gas in said gas loop (8), feeding said gas into the reactor vessel (1) for influencing the equilibrium of a reaction conducted in said reactor vessel (1) and being characterized by t

  • Patent number: 6273497
Abstract: A load-carrying structure for a vehicle body, the structure extending radially to the longitudinal axis of the body and being suitable for being associated with structural elements parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body, the load-carrying structure constituting a flat frame member and including at least one flat strip, wherein the structural elements are suitable for being inserted in said frame member by a mechanism of notches for receiving them. The device also relates to a segment of body structure and to a vehicle body including such structures.

  • Patent number: 5811595
Abstract: The present invention concerns a process for preparing a highly pure adduct of one or more alkylene oxide(s) to a compound which is sufficiently reactive for an addition reaction, said process being carried out in a reaction system designed as a loop-type reactor and comprising the steps of (a) feeding a compound sufficiently reactive for the addition reaction to the reaction system and circulating said compound in the whole system; (b) deaerating the whole reaction system and injecting an inert gas; (c) adding said alkylene oxide(s) with mixing, said addition step taking place at a point of the reaction system which is upstream a heat exchanger which is assembled in the loop and serves as a means for heating; (d) quickly heating a partial amount of the reaction mixture containing freshly admixed alkylene oxide(s) to a temperature allowing a substantial degree of conversion of the reactants; (e) immediately cooling, after reaching said substantial degree of conversion of said reactants, said partial amount of
