  • Publication number: 20250066233
Abstract: A scalable water purification system for large-scale dialysis applications comprises a first carbon block vessel (worker vessel) connected in series to a second carbon block vessel (polisher vessel). The system includes one or more drain ports, air purge ports, pressure sensors, and sampling ports for monitoring and maintenance. A metal frame with levelling casters provides mobility, while at least one bypass valve allows the worker vessel to be bypassed for performance testing. Additional features include a multi-cartridge filtration unit for further contaminant removal, a UV-filtration unit for limiting biological growth, and a chlorine monitor for measuring chlorine and chloramine levels at various stages of water processing. This innovative design enhances water purification efficiency, reduces water usage, and simplifies maintenance compared to traditional granular activated carbon (GAC) systems.

  • Publication number: 20240361873
Abstract: An electronic interactive device includes an interaction surface for use with a user borne device. The interaction surface includes a contact detection surface for detecting a device contact event with the interaction surface; a plurality of magnetometers defining a reference coordinate system and a sensing volume proximate to the interaction surface, with each of the magnetometers having a rigid spatial relationship to the other magnetometers; and processing circuitry communicably coupled to at least the contact detection surface and the plurality of magnetometers. The plurality of magnetometers perform magnetic field measurements and provide measurement data to the processing circuitry. The processing circuitry determines at least one of position and/or magnet orientation relative to a longitudinal axis of the user borne device and a distance separating the magnet and/or magnet orientation relative to a longitudinal axis of the user borne device from the interaction surface when the contact event occurs.

  • Publication number: 20220074678
Abstract: In a matrix for a heat exchanger to exchange heat between a first fluid and a second fluid, the first fluid being for instance air and the second fluid being for instance oil, the matrix includes a channel for the first fluid, an array of passages for the second fluid, the passages extending in the channel. The array supports at least two cooling fins. The matrix is made by a process of additive manufacturing. The fins are inclined with respect to each other along the direction of the flow of the first fluid. The array defines rectangular corridors for the first fluid.

  • Patent number: 11180077
Abstract: A selectively-illuminable lug nut assembly includes a lug nut body portion and an illumination subassembly housed within a containment portion at an upper end of the lug nut body. The lug nut main body portion may have a multi-faceted exterior and a threaded aperture extending into a lower end for threading engagement with a threaded vehicle wheel stud. At an upper end, the lug nut body defines a containment portion for housing the illumination subassembly. The assembly may incorporate a light and/or motion sensor for automatically biasing the assembly between ON and OFF states. Furthermore, a printed circuit board having LEDs mounted thereon may be in communication with a remote control device enabling a user to selectively bias the assembly between the ON and OFF states.
