  • Patent number: 12293090
Abstract: A storage device is disclosed. The storage device may include a storage for a data and a controller to manage access to the data in the storage. A mechanism may automatically manage a bias mode for a chunk of the data in the storage, the bias mode including one of a host bias mode and a device bias mode.

  • Publication number: 20240336476
Abstract: Example methods and devices for improving uniformity of temperature distribution of a microheater or a microheater array are disclosed. One example method includes determining that a temperature of a first coil segment of multiple coil segments of a microheater is lower than a temperature of a second coil segment of the multiple coil segments, where the first coil segment is closer to an edge of the microheater than the second coil segment, and the microheater is a heating component of a microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) based device. A resistance of the first coil segment is increased through a reduction of a width of the first coil segment. After the reduction of the width of the first coil segment, a width of the second coil segment is adjusted based on a difference between the temperature of the first coil segment and the temperature of the second coil segment.

  • Publication number: 20240086403
Abstract: An accelerator is disclosed. The accelerator may include an on-chip memory to store a data from a database. The on-chip memory may include a first memory bank and a second memory bank. The first memory bank may store the data, which may include a first value and a second value. A computational engine may execute, in parallel, a command on the first value in the data and the command on the second value in the data in the on-chip memory. The on-chip memory may be configured to load a second data from the database into the second memory bank in parallel with the computation engine executing the command on the first value in the data and executing the command on the second value in the data.

  • Publication number: 20190003064
Abstract: An electrohydrodynamic (EHD) method results in charge driven droplet fission and volumetric shrinkage of metal dichalcogenide sheet droplets, thus wrinkling individual exfoliated metal dichalcogenide sheets on the nanoscale. For example, the method can be used to activate the basal plane of solution exfoliated, stable 2H reverted sheets of MoS2. In this manner, the basal plane of 2H MoS2 can be strained at an unprecedented scale (3.7%), resulting in charge transport to basal plane defects. The resulting crumpled MoS2 integrates few layer sheets and atomistic defects with nano- and micro-scale ridges and vertices to enable centimeter-length films that elevate the catalytic site count of MoS2 from 1.0×1014 sites/cm2 to 2.93×1017 sites/cm2 (planar 2H vs. crumpled 2H) and a turn-over-frequency (TOF) from 0.016 s?1 to 0.130 s?1.
