  • Patent number: 11880423
Abstract: Techniques for video manipulation based on machine learned video curating are disclosed. Web page content is loaded, where the content includes a frame for short-form videos. The content of the web page is analyzed for textual information. A short-form video server is accessed. Short-form videos are selected from the short-form video server, where the selecting includes automatically curating the short-form videos. Adaptive learning is used for the selecting, based on a user's web page behavior. The adaptive learning includes collecting the user's web page behavior before the selecting. Automatic curating includes selecting, by a neural network, a subset of short-form videos appropriate for the web page. The web page frame is populated with the short-form videos obtained from the video server. Representations of the short-form videos are displayed within the frame on the web page. The short-form videos are auto played within the frame.

  • Publication number: 20220414688
Abstract: An automated predictive analytics system disclosed herein provides for generating sales leads with lead engagement recommendations. In one implementation, the system determines similarities between fitness, engagement, and intent characteristics of a plurality of target clients and fitness, engagement, and intent characteristics of an entity's existing clients. Subsequently, the system generates recommendations for engagement with the plurality of target clients, wherein components of the recommendations for engagement are based on determined similarities between the fitness, engagement, and intent characteristics of the plurality of target clients and the fitness, engagement, and intent characteristics of the entity's existing clients. The system presents the plurality of leads with the recommendations of engagement to using a graphical user interface (GUI) at the application layer of the system.

  • Patent number: 11483492
Abstract: Techniques for video manipulation based on an immersive video experience including rotation are disclosed. Parameters pertaining to a video are determined. Second parameters pertaining to a video display are determined. A minimum scale value is calculated to inscribe a rectangle within an oval based on a height and a width of the video. A height and a width of the video display define the rectangle. A gravity sensor input is preprocessed using a low-pass filter before using it to determine the minimum scale value. The video is preprocessed using a video inset and a viewport inset. The video can be trimmed, and the rectangle can be scaled. A rectangular portion of the video is rendered on the video display wherein the rectangular portion is on or inside the boundaries of the oval.

  • Publication number: 20200154457
Abstract: Examples pertaining to improvement on user equipment (UE) uplink latency in wireless communications are described. When an apparatus is in a special mode, a processor of the apparatus transmits to a network a request for permission to perform an uplink (UL) transmission for a plurality of times. The processor then receives from the network a grant. In response to receiving the grant, the processor performs the UL transmission to the network. In transmitting the request for the plurality of times, the processor transmits the request for the plurality of times at a frequency higher than a frequency at which the request to perform UL transmissions is transmitted to the network when the apparatus is in a normal operational mode.

  • Publication number: 20150246908
Abstract: The invention provides potent inhibitors of small molecule inhibitors of Krüppel-like factor 5 (KLF5) expression. Compounds of the invention are small molecule inhibitors of KLF5 expression which can be effective delay or prevent colon cancer onset, halt growth of existing tumors, and/or decrease reoccurrence. The compounds can be effective vs. many tumor types whose progression is in part mediated by KLF5, including colorectal cancers. Lowering KLF5 levels with an inhibitor of this invention may also impact other disease states, including diabetes, obesity, lipid homeostasis, cardiovascular disease, and arthritis.

  • Patent number: 7588354
Abstract: A recessed lighting fixture has a housing sidewall with a lip around a bottom aperture and a vertical T-slot receiving a locking assembly mounting the housing in an opening in a ceiling with the lip around a lower edge of the opening. The locking assembly has a support member with a lower strut portion and an upper attachment portion pivotally connected to a latching member. The strut portion has legs inserted through the slot so that edges of opposite walls and an axial end of a channel section base provide a U-shape line contact with the ceiling upper surface and upper teeth engage friction surfaces on opposite outside edge portions of the slot. The latching member has a handle carrying a tongue wedged between the legs by pivoting to engage locking feet with friction surfaces on opposite inside edge portions of the slot retaining the lighting fixture in the ceiling.

  • Publication number: 20070198996
Abstract: A driver installation free system including a peripheral storing a device driver, a host, an operation system, an application interface and a middleware is provided. When the peripheral device is coupled with the host, the middleware utilizes the bus driver to read a configuration of the peripheral device, the driver function information and the driver parameter structure from the peripheral device, and generates relationships between the standard command and the device driver command as well as between the standard parameter structure and the driver parameter structure.

  • Publication number: 20060161471
Abstract: Method and system for generating summary scores from heterogeneous measures retrieved from multi-dimensional data structures for monitoring organizational performance. Scorecards are created for each group of tree-structured measures branching from Parent nodes to child nodes based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Scores for each parent node may be obtained by rolling up scores for child nodes reporting to the parent node. KPI's at the lowest level are mapped on first scale, then mapped to a normalized scale, and score values determined. KPI scores are weight-averaged for roll-up to a parent node determining the score for that node. Multiple parent nodes may be rolled-up to a higher level node in a similar way. Multiple dimensions of the measure such as geographic and temporal may be scored simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20060161596
Abstract: A client may revise a balanced scorecard by adding, deleting and/or moving objects on a strategy map. Multiple clients may attempt to revise the strategy map simultaneously. Non-conflicting revisions are synchronized with the strategy map in a scorecard database. A conflicting revision may be generated when objects associated with one client's revisions cannot be reconciled with the objects associated with another client's revisions. Conflicting revisions may be resolved by giving one client's revisions priority over subsequent client revisions. Any identified zombie objects are removed from the strategy map before synchronization with the scorecard database. The revised strategy map is saved in the scorecard database. The revised objects are synchronized with the corresponding scorecard and any associated strategy maps in the scorecard database.
