    Abstract: A lid for a container assembly is disclosed. The lid is configured for locking engagement with the container such that accidental or unintentional removal of the lid from the container is resisted. The lid includes an outer skirt that overlies the outer surface of the container about an upper rim. The outer skirt includes a plurality of lid locking members that are disposed at spaced apart intervals about the outer periphery of the skirt and extend inwardly, relative to the outer skirt, for engaging an outwardly extending container lip. Disposition of the lid on the container is with effect that the plurality of lid locking members deflect outwardly as the lid is displaced downwardly over the container lip, the lid locking members returning to their inwardly disposed position once clear of the lip. The inward disposition of the lid locking members effects a robust engagement between the container and lid.

    Abstract: A lid for a container assembly is disclosed. The lid includes a central panel and a peripheral member. The lid further includes impact absorbing zones disposed within an annular lid space formed between the peripheral member and an intermediate wall that interconnects the peripheral member to the central panel. In some embodiments the impact absorbing zones are rigid impact absorbing zones that redirect and redistribute inwardly directed forces that are applied to the lid away from the central panel. In some embodiments, the impact absorbing zones include a plurality of protuberances that extend from the intermediate wall into the annular lid space that are arranged in an alternating pattern with indentation regions that extend inwardly from the intermediate wall. When the forces applied to the lid of the container meet or exceed a predetermined threshold deforming force, at least some of the protuberances may deform thereby further absorbing some of the impact force.

    Abstract: A container system including a lid and a container is provided. A locking structure on the skirt of the lid is situated on a tear off portion and comprises a plurality of flexible tabs positionable in an upwardly biased locked position each independently engaging the container within an annular cut away on the container wall below a locking rib. If the lid is removed with tear off strip still engaged, the flexible tabs are biased downwardly and may break off, exposing tampering.

    Abstract: A stack mold carrier for supporting a center mold section of an injection molding machine, including a platen assembly, is disclosed. The stack mold carrier includes a carrier base which includes a mold support portion for coupling with and supporting the center mold section. A linkage assembly is pre-installed on the carrier base and a first restraint system is provided for releasably retaining the linkage assembly in a first, non-operational position wherein the linkage assembly is fixed relative to the carrier base such that the stack mold carrier can be disposed on the platen assembly as an assembled unit. The stack mold carrier includes a second restraint system for releasably retaining the stack mold carrier on the platen assembly prior to connection with the center mold section.

    Abstract: An injection molding apparatus for receiving molten material from an injection nozzle and delivering the molten material to a mold cavity is disclosed. The injection molding apparatus includes a molten material conduit device for receiving the molten material and directing the molten material to a molten material receiver defined by a manifold, the manifold directing the molten material the mold cavity housed within the mold assembly of the apparatus. The molten material conduit device includes a manifold-sealed interface effector for sealing against the manifold, and a back plate engager for engaging the back plate that secures the molten material conduit device to the manifold. The manifold, the molten material conduit device and the back plate are cooperatively configured such that a discharge end of the conduit device is sandwiched between the manifold and the back plate and such that the discharge opening is disposed in alignment with the molten material-receiver.
