  • Patent number: 8608409
Abstract: A pile driver for driving foundation piles, and having: a frame, in turn having a horizontal base, at least one upright extending upwards from the base, and a movable body which slides along the upright; a first lock device fitted to the horizontal base and which, in use, rigidly engages a connecting member of a foundation structure; a second lock device fitted to the movable body and which, in use, rigidly engages a shaft of a pile to be driven; and at least one hydraulic jack connected to the frame and to the movable body to move the movable body along the upright.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 22, 2006

  • Patent number: 7967531
Abstract: A method of raising a building with respect to the ground; the method including the steps of: forming a mat having a number of through holes; inserting a foundation pile through each hole; fitting each foundation pile with a lifting device; exerting thrust on the foundation piles by means of the lifting devices to raise the building with respect to the ground; and fixing each foundation pile axially to the mat once the building is raised; the lifting devices are divided into three equivalent, symmetrical, independent work groups; and the lifting devices of one work group at a time are activated simultaneously, so that the building is raised isostatically, by simultaneously activating the lifting devices of one work group at a time, while the lifting devices of the other two work groups are left idle.

  • Patent number: 7556453
Abstract: A method of constructing a pile foundation, wherein a foundation structure is built on the ground, and has at least one through hole, and a connecting member fixed to the foundation structure, adjacent to the hole, and having at least one portion projecting upwards; a pile is inserted through the hole; and a number of thrusts are applied statically on the pile, to drive the pile into the ground, by means of a thrust device, which is located over the pile, cooperates with a top end of the pile, and is connected to the projecting portion of the connecting member which, when driving the pile, acts as a reaction member for the thrust device.

  • Patent number: 5852905
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a composite girder including one or more vertical cores of steel plate, associated and cooperating with one or more horizontal slabs or flanges of concrete. At least one of the horizontal slabs or flanges is made from high-performance concrete in order to allow mutual forces or co-actions to be imposed between the several components of the girder which are much higher/stronger than the mutual forces/co-actions which can be imposed by way of other methods and materials.
