    Abstract: The present technology improves synchronization of a slave node with a master node in a network using PTP packets in which the slave node is coupled to the working master node through at least one boundary node. The technology establishes a synchronization communication session between the boundary node and the slave node in which the synchronization communication session is configured to measure a first timing delay from the boundary node to the slave node, and establishes a transparent communication session between the master node and the slave node through the boundary timing node in which the transparent communication session configured to measure a second timing delay from the master node to the slave node. Using the sessions, the technology adjusts a timing delay correction factor according to the first timing delay and the second timing delay, and synchronizes the slave node with the master node according to the correction factor.

    Abstract: Dynamic spread anti-aliasing is described. In some embodiments, a filled object is segmented into control tiles. Along the object border, multiple exterior control tiles respectively correspond to multiple curves forming the border. For each curve, one side is filled and the other is anti-aliased to smooth the appearance of the filled object. Each exterior control tile is expanded to create an expanded control tile having a spread zone that includes additional pixels. For example, a control triangle is transformed into a control rectangle, and the control rectangle is enlarged to create an expanded control rectangle by extending an edge outward and away from the curve on the side to be anti-aliased. The additional pixels of the spread zone are subjected to anti-aliasing, such as by applying alpha modulation to the pixels based on respective distances between the pixels and the curve. For subpixel zoom levels, pixel color can be adjusted.

A security application runs within a hosted VM, and a header is stored for the security application that includes a host backend identifier (BID). The VM sends a security processing request including the header through a stateless virtual interface to a backend driver. The backend driver compares the host BID within the processing request to host BIDs associated with the VM host server. If a match is found, security processing request is performed using one or more security engines within the VM host server. If a match is not found, the VM is identified as a migrated VM, and the header is updated to store a host BID associated with the VM host server. A timestamp for virtual queue creation is preferably used for the host BID.

A load balancer may determine that any particular session for any particular client should be moved between servers, based on load balancing criteria. In this case, the load balancer causes session data for the server assigned to the client to be transferred to a different server. Acknowledgment signals are sent between the servers and load balancer to indicate completion status. Load balancer maintains backup data at secondary servers which can be brought online when a primary server becomes unresponsive. A method, system, and computer-readable medium are provided.
