Patent number: 12404855Abstract: A hydrogen cooled pressure packer, systems, and methods of operation are provided. The pressure packer can include a flange portion and a plurality of packing cups coupled to the flange portion. One or more packing cups of the plurality of packing cups include at least one injection channel extending therethrough and terminating in at least one injection port. The pressure packer can also include a seal abutted with at least one packing cup of the plurality of packing cups. The pressure packer can be configured for use in a hydrogen compressor operable within a hydrogen vehicle refueling facility.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2022Date of Patent: September 2, 2025Assignee: Nuovo Pignone Tecnologie—SRLInventors: Robert Krumm, Vinh Do, Simone Bassani

Patent number: 12385604Abstract: A recovery unit configured to re-inject lost or fugitive emissions back into a pipeline. These configuration may include a pressure vessel that can hold gas (or other fluid) that might vent to atmosphere from, for example, a valve or like flow control. A pump may couple with the pressure vessel. In use, this pump can draw fluid out of the pressure vessel and pressurize it to inject back into the pipeline, typically downstream of the valve. The pump may utilize upstream pressure as a power source.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2022Date of Patent: August 12, 2025Assignee: Dresser, LLCInventors: Harold Randall Smart, John Dee Kelley, Chengbao Wang, Vinh Do, Melissa Gayle Allin

Patent number: 11796982Abstract: A system and process for predicting the failure of a machine begins with the step of loading a slope signature library into the control system, in which the slope signature library correlates time-to-failure based on rates of change of one or more measured conditions. The process includes the steps of activating the machine, determining baseline measurements, and detecting an out-of-spec measurement. Once an out-of-spec measurement is made, the process includes the determination of the rate of change for the out-of-spec measurement. A slope signature is calculated based on the rate of change for the measured condition, which is compared against the slope signature library to determine a predicted time-to-failure based on the calculated slope signature, and outputting the predicted time-to-failure. The process can be used to modify the operation of the machine to extend the predicted time-to-failure.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2020Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: GE Oil & Gas, LLCInventors: Vinh Do, Sheldon McCrackin, Gregory David Adams, Sam Stroder

Patent number: 10202969Abstract: Method and device for lubricating a connection. A housing is configured to house a crankshaft adapter that connects an oil pump to a compressor. The housing includes a shell forming a round cavity configured to receive the crankshaft adapter; an oil feed conduit configured to enter through the shell into the round cavity and to deliver oil; a first drain conduit, opposite to the oil feed conduit, and configured to enter through the shell into the round cavity; a plug provided in the first drain conduit; and a second drain conduit configured to enter through the shell into the round cavity. The second drain conduit is located between the oil feed conduit and the first drain conduit, substantially between 50 and 130 degrees relative to the first drain conduit on a periphery of the shell.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2016Date of Patent: February 12, 2019Assignee: NUOVO PIGNONE TECNOLOGIE S.R.L.Inventors: Vinh Do, Jeffrey Raynal, Jason Andrew Helton, Carlos Trevino

Patent number: 9715499Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating an interactive map for displaying and analyzing a compressive intellectual property landscape within a given field. Based on content analysis of relevant patents and patent applications, this prior art map provides a systematic review of vast quantities of data, thereby allowing the user to discern critical technology and product trends, prior art references, and the strategies of both leading and emerging competitors. Each patent represented on the map can be analyzed within the context of the prior art landscape to uncover novel features, strong claims, and business and technology trends. This comprehensive view can provide a foundation for creating effective corporate strategies in-tune with the realities of the intellectual property terrain.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2012Date of Patent: July 25, 2017Assignee: GLOBAL PRIOR ART, INC.Inventors: Bruce Rubinger, Vinh Do, Alexander Kaufman, Kuppar Ranganath Udupa
