  • Patent number: 4217936
Abstract: A weaving machine of the non-reciprocating continuous type comprises weft carriers which are advanced along the weft direction by impulses imparted by a series of rocking sinkers arranged along the weft direction. The impulses are applied by pivotal movement of successive sinkers in one direction, and during movement of each sinker in the reverse direction the sinker acts to beat-up the deposited weft. Pivotal movement of the sinkers is effected by an endless sinker control track which is driven continuously by an endless chain.

  • Patent number: 4146062
Abstract: A weaving machine of the non-reciprocating continuous type comprises a selection control system for the heald loops. The control system has sliding selectors which are linked to the loops and which are operated by selector controls mounted on carriages. The carriages are driven in synchronism with the operation of the weft carriers of the machine.

  • Patent number: 4015443
Abstract: A knitted fabric formed on a knitting machine includes longitudinal and transverse weft yarns incorporated into the fabric during knitting. A further transverse weft yarn is incorporated into the fabric and is interlinked with the courses of stitches of the fabric.
