  • Publication number: 20240285846
Abstract: A thrombectomy system includes a catheter having a proximal end and a distal end, a valve in fluid communication with the catheter, and a cutting instrument associated with the distal end of the catheter. The cutting instrument may be configured for axial and/or rotational motion. A controller of the system may be configured to detect operational parameters of the cutting instrument. The controller may determine whether the cutting instrument is engaging with occlusive material based on the detected operational parameters. The controller may operate the valve in one or more operating modes to alter a level of pressure in the catheter based on whether the cutting instrument is engaging with the occlusive material.

  • Publication number: 20230256224
Abstract: A hemostasis valve for use with catheters in intravascular procedures. The hemostasis valve comprising a sealable fluid channel that bifurcates from a single distal lumen to two proximal lumens. An upper proximal lumen may include a funnel shaped opening to improve aspiration potential. Rotating locking mechanisms are attachable at the ends of the hemostasis valve to interlock coaxial devices or to form seals around coaxial devices. Injection molding may be used to manufacture a hemostasis valve and its components. A mold and core pins may impart external and internal shapes to a molten polymer. Once the polymer has cooled, the molded component is separated from any pins or molds and attached to other molded components to form an assembled hemostasis valve.

  • Publication number: 20160061106
Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes a crankshaft having a first web portion defining an inner opening and defining an undercut proximate the inner opening, a second web portion defining an inner opening and defining an undercut proximate the inner opening and an inner bearing portion that engages with the inner opening of the first web portion and with the inner opening of the second web portion. First and second pushrods each have a piston end and a crankshaft end. The crankshaft ends of the first and second pushrods each have a concave surface placed over different portions of the inner bearing portion between the first and second web portions, and each further have shoulders adjacent their respective concave surface that engage with the undercuts of the first and second web portions.
