  • Publication number: 20200289912
Abstract: The invention refers to a folding ski for sporting or military purposes. The technical problem is how to conceive a functional ski without a retaining projection with a latching mechanism arranged at the front end of the ski front section, which projection is used to fasten a connecting platform in the folded state of the ski. The folding ski of the invention includes a ski front section, a ski rear section, a folding connection that inseparably connects the rear end of the ski front section with the front end of the ski rear section, a connecting platform that is intended to stiffen the folding connection and is pivotal around its axis of rotation a that extends perpendicularly to the upper surface of the ski, wherein the connecting platform is directly pivotally connected with the ski front or rear section.

  • Patent number: 9586127
Abstract: A collapsible ski includes a front part and a rear part that, when arranged in their linearly aligned position, are fixed in that position by a connecting platform which is rotatable around an axis, which extends throughout a fold between the front part and rear part, and which is rectangular. Benefits of such a collapsible ski may include, to a consumer, practical storage and transporting benefits, while to the manufacturer, may include simplification of technology for manufacturing of each component, when compared with manufacturing of classic single-part skis. The collapsible ski can be assembled in place simply without using any tools. The collapsible ski is assembled of several mutually connectable yet detachable parts. The collapsible ski also provides the possibility of combining separately manufactured and preferably standardized parts in view of providing semi-products and finalizing each collapsible ski.

  • Patent number: 8967655
Abstract: In order to assure smooth and essentially equidistant running of correspondingly loaded pair of skis over ground when turning left or right without any sideslip, a ski is bent at its tip at a pre-determined angle around its longitudinal axis and deflected from the ground by a radius along a that longitudinal axis. Despite a practically symmetric appearance of the circumference of such ski when observed in top view, the distance between a front inflection point and a rear inflection point on the left ski edge and the distance between the front inflection point and the rear inflection point on the right ski edge differ from each other such that the active lengths of the ski edges differ from each other. A weak area of the ski is provided adjacent at least one inflection point to provide different compression distributions between the ground and each of the ski edges.

  • Patent number: 7837217
Abstract: A ski or snowboard having improved the transmission of forces from a binding mounting area to the respective edge of a ski or snowboard is disclosed. Such a ski or snowboard comprises a gliding surface with the associated edges as well as a lower support comprising a number of support layers over which a core with its associated lateral flanks is built. Over the core, a support is arranged in a uniform and relief-like manner that is constructed as a uniform whole from the shaped flat material, for example from laminate or in principle also from shaped sheet metal, or a plate or laminate or a similar flat semi-finished product of metallic or non-metallic material.
