    Abstract: An electrical appliance for preparing hot beverages such as infusions and the like, has a first section, electrical heating means in the first section, and means in the first section for supplying electric power to the electrical heating means. A second section has means for containing a fluid to be heated. The first section and the second section are connectable to each other in a releasable manner. The first section is subdivided into a first chamber housing the electrical heating means and into a second chamber for containing the fluid to be heated by a partitioning wall made of heat-conducting material. The heating means is in contact with the partitioning wall.
