Abstract: The invention relates to the microbial fermentation of gaseous substrates, particularly to gas/liquid contact modules and bioreactors configured to improve the efficiency of fermentations, particularly microbial fermentations of substrates comprising CO. In a particular embodiment, a gas/liquid contact module with multiple channels is configured to produce products in a liquid fermentation broth. In a further particular embodiment, there is provided a method of fermentation of a gaseous substrate to produce a product in a liquid fermentation broth.

The system gathers input from sensors located at the live event, preprocesses this input, and transfers it to a computer system, which uses this input to create a concurrent simulation of the live event. A remote game player can then interact with the concurrent simulation by providing input to the concurrent simulation through a user interface. This system combines the excitement of a highly interactive video game with the drama and publicity surrounding a live event. The live event can thereby set the standard of performance for the concurrent simulation. Remote game players may additionally compete against each other to determine an overall global winner amongst the remote game players in the live event.

Abstract: A method for automated issuance of a coupon redeemable for goods or services purchased in a transaction involving a purchaser at a non-secure terminal on a public network is provided. The method includes receiving purchaser login data from the public network at a processing system, where the login data positively identifies the purchaser. The system provides through the public network to the identified purchaser a gateway to tools for selecting goods or services for purchase. The purchaser selects goods or services using these tools and provides payment information through the public network for the selected goods or services. The processing system verifies payment for goods or services. Next, the processing system generates coupon data, such as a clear text transcript of the transaction, and an encrypted transcript of the transaction. The coupon data is sent to the purchaser across the public network, enabling the purchaser to a coupon at a non-secure terminal.
