    Abstract: An improved process for the continuous coloration of aromatic polyester/cellulose unions which comprises continuously applying to the said unions a reactive dyestuff and a disperse dyestuff containing at least two carboxylic acid ester groups, fixing the dyestuffs on the union, and thereafter subjecting the colored union to a treatment in an aqueous alkaline bath at a pH above 8.0 and at a temperature between 50.degree. and 85.degree. C, whereby the unions are padded or printed in a wide variety of shades possessing excellent fastness properties and there is little or no staining of any unprinted areas of the unions.
