Abstract: In one embodiment, a search query may be obtained. A set of one or more use cases may be determined based, at least in part, upon the search query. A set of one or more search results may be identified based, at least in part, upon the search query. Information that answers the search query for at least one of the set of use cases may be obtained, where the information has been derived from at least a subset of the set of search results. An indication of at least a portion of the information may be provided.

Abstract: The present teaching relates to providing structured text. In one example, a document is obtained. One or more keywords are identified in the document. One or more topics are determined based on the one or more keywords. Each of the one or more topics is related to at least one of the one or more keywords residing in one or more portions of the document. A snippet is generated for each of the portions associated with a corresponding topic based on content in the portion of the document.

Abstract: In one embodiment, location information indicating a region of a web page with which a user is interacting may be obtained. Contextual information pertaining to the region of the web page with which the user is interacting may be ascertained. Content may be obtained based, at least in part, upon the contextual information pertaining to the region of the web page with which the user is interacting. The content may then be provided for presentation to the user.

Abstract: A system and method to insert content into an email over IMAP are disclosed. The system and method may receive an email from a first user and store the email from the first user on a server. In some embodiments, content such as an advertisement, news, image, and/or video may be created or selected for the stored email. The content may be inserted into the email. In some embodiments, the server may transmit the stored email with the inserted content to a second user. The content may be inserted as dynamic HTML tags within an email protocol.

The method includes the steps of: a) converting a first biometric to an irreversibly altered biometric using a parameterized transform function and b) prior to said conversion parameterizing a non-invertible transform function using at least one additional biometric. The apparatus is an apparatus for converting a first biometric to an irreversibly altered biometric using a parameterized non-invertible transform function comprising a computer containing a program for calculating the irreversibly altered biometric based upon input of a first biometric into the parameterized non-invertible transform function.

Abstract: A browser plug-in application provides functionality to allow the creation of a multiple window browser interface environment. By way of example, when the plug-in is activated, each time a user selects a URL to retrieve a new web document, the plug-in displays a new browser window in addition to the existing browser window within a single instance of the web browser application, as opposed to displaying the new browser window in place of the existing browser window. The plug-in, thus, permits users to dynamically view multiple web documents in a side-by-side or tiled fashion in a single instance of the browser application.
