Relationships between people may be leveraged and ranking for people relationships may be performed based on activities across multiple workloads. People relationships may be displayed in the network map to provide a visual understanding of relationships and connections. Navigation to any person represented in the network map may be enabled, and commonalities in relationships between a navigating user and a given person navigated to in the network map may be exposed. Trending items and activity streams for a person or group of persons may be shown in the network map.

A control center selects orchestrations from a predefined list and transmits the orchestrations to the datacenters. Transmitted orchestrations include less than all machine-readable actions necessary to execute the orchestrations. The datacenters execute each received orchestration by referencing a full set of actions corresponding to the received orchestration as previously stored or programmed into the computerized server and executing the referenced full set of actions. At least one of the orchestrations comprises a failover operation from the primary datacenter to the secondary datacenter.

Abstract: A system may include a database disposed within a remote network management platform, a server device disposed in the platform, and a client device. The database may contain representations of configuration items, such as computing devices and software applications associated with the managed network. The server device may provide a graphical user interface including a sequence of panes to the client device. The sequence of panes may include an identifier pane, an identification rules pane, and a reconciliation pane. Each pane may include data entry fields that are operable to define a new class of configuration item. The server device may receive, by way of the graphical user interface, a definition of the new class that uniquely identifies configuration items of a particular type using at least the attributes. The server may store, in the database, the definition of the new class.

Abstract: A remote network management platform may include a database containing representations of configuration items associated with a managed network that is managed by the remote network management platform. The remote network management platform may further include a server device. The server device may be configured to obtain a plurality of preferred relationships for a particular configuration item class. The server device may be further configured to store, in the database, the plurality of preferred relationships.

Abstract: A personalized view of insights into social activity surrounding a content item is provided that may indicate to a user why a given piece of content may be interesting to him/her. A user's activities, as well as the activities of others (e.g., colleagues of the user) may be shown, including such items as a total number of views, comments, followers, and likes associated with the content item. The insights view may be personalized based on the user's relationships with other users in association with the content item. The user may learn through the personalized view who among his/her relationships have commented, edited, shared, or liked the content item, as well as, how many of the user's colleagues have viewed the content item. In addition, through a search function that may be applied to the view content, a user may learn about related content items based on the social insights.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for storing in in-memory unit (IMU) in a lower-storage tier and copying the IMU to DRAM when needed for query processing. Techniques are also provided for copying IMUs to lower tiers of storage when evicted from the cache of higher tiers of storage. Techniques are provided for implementing functionality of IMUs within a storage system, to enable database servers to push tasks, such as filtering, to the storage system where the storage system may access IMUs within its own memory to perform the tasks. Metadata associated with a set of data may be used to indicate whether an IMU for the data should be created by the database server machine or within the storage system.
