    Abstract: The present invention provides a polyamide nanofiltration membrane and the process for the preparation thereof thereof. The invention further provides a process for the removal of phospholipids from rice bran oil (edible grade) by using novel polyamide membrane. The oil permeated through the membrane is 90 to 95% free from phospholipids in comparison to feed oil with about 90% reduction of color in comparison to feed oil.
