Abstract: An apparatus is provided for fabricating a wide-mouth plastic container, having an annular flange extending radially outwardly at the wide-mouth, from a stretch blow-molded intermediate article, having a dome-like accommodation portion extending radially-outwardly at a flange area and upwardly and inwardly from the wide-mouth of a generally cylindrical body portion. The apparatus provides for a two stage cutting and trimming operation which produces a precision concentric uniform flange around the wide-mouth of the fabricated container and provides for alternately and simultaneously performing the fabricating operations to provide a desired speed of operation of the apparatus.
