Publication number: 20240325799Abstract: Fire rated cleanout covers that restore and maintain a fire-rating of a constructed wall assembly. The fire rated cleanout covers are attached directly to cleanout tees to eliminate the need to secure a separate base component to a wall. Intumescent material is pre-incorporated with the fire rated cleanout covers prior to installation of the fire rated cleanout covers. As such, the intumescent material is carried with the fire rated cleanout cover when the fire rated cleanout cover is in use. The fire rated cleanout covers allow an installer to reuse the fire rated cleanout covers after maintenance or cleaning without reapplying the intumescent material to restore the fire rating of the wall.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2022Publication date: October 3, 2024Inventors: Virgil O'NEIL, Jeffrey Eric HAMILTON, Ryan Jeffrey MILLER

Patent number: 11781677Abstract: A bracket holds a rigid or flexible tube during the pouring of a concrete slab. The bracket has a base and a housing connected to the base. The tube curves around a first tube support on the housing before passing through an opening in the bottom of the housing. The tube and any members inside the tube are cut off so they end inside the housing and are then covered by a housing cap. The base is fastened to a form for the concrete slab. The height of the housing relative to the base is adjusted to place the cap at the planned surface of the concrete slab. After the concrete slab is formed the cap is removed and the cut members inside the housing are connected to other members or devices.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2021Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignee: RELIANCE WORLDWIDE CORPORATIONInventors: James W. Patent number: 11698158Abstract: An assembly creates annular voids in concrete around the distal end of cylindrical tubes. A cap has a flat top and a cylindrical, depending skirt. An annular, foam plug extends between the inside of the skirt and the outer diameter of the tube. The plug has an undeformed inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the tube to create an interference fit around the tube and keep concrete out when the cap is on the end of the tube. The plug has a radial thickness of 0.3 to 1 inch, and has an axial length of 1 to 3 inches, with a bottom of the plug located at a bottom of the skirt. The cap is glued to the end of the tube for pressure testing. After the tube is entrained in concrete, the cap and plug are removed to leave a void in the concrete surface.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2022Date of Patent: July 11, 2023Assignee: RELIANCE WORLDWIDE CORPORATIONInventors: Virgil O'Neil, Dennis L.
