    Abstract: An airfield runway occupancy warning system includes inductive loops buried in a runway proximate to an intersection of said runway and a taxiway. Other inductive loops are buried in a taxiway proximate an intersection of the taxiway and a runway. A communication system receives data from each of the inductive loops and transmits the data to at least one monitoring device.
