    Abstract: An apparatus has a plurality of power supplies coupled to a common output power bus and a single controller. To avoid ground loops, interference, high cost, and line-of-sight operation, sound waves are used to communicate between the controller and the power supplies. The sound waves are preferably of at least 18 KHz in frequency and preferably FSK modulated with control or data information.
