  • Publication number: 20220335853
Abstract: Provided herein are methods of generating models for predicting the glycemic response of an individual to consumption of a food or meal. The method involves collecting from a plurality of subjects, phenotypic data, ohmic data, and glycemic response data to foods or meals having a defined macronutrient profile. This data is then used to train a machine learning algorithm to create a model that predicts glycemic response of an individual to a food or meal based on the macro nutrient profile of the food or meal.

  • Publication number: 20220206176
Abstract: A subsurface structure identification system includes one or more processors and a memory coupled to the one or more processors. The memory is encoded with instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the one or more processors to provide a convolutional neural network trained to identify a subsurface structure in an input migrated seismic volume, and to partition the input migrated seismic volume into multi-dimensional sub-volumes of seismic data. The instructions also cause the one or more processors to process each of the multi-dimensional sub-volumes of seismic data in the convolutional neural network, and identify the subsurface structure in the input migrated seismic volume based on a probability map of the input migrated seismic volume generated by the convolutional neural network.

  • Publication number: 20210256508
Abstract: Systems and methods for distributed ledger-based identity management are disclosed. In one embodiment, a computer-based method for managing attestations may include: (1) receiving, by a computer program executed by an electronic device for an identity consumer and from an identity provider, a notification from an identity provider server that an attestation is available, wherein the attestation may be generated by the identity provider based on authorization from a system operator and may include a chain of trust comprising an identification of the system operator and the identity provider; (2) requesting, by the computer program, the attestation from the identity provider; and (3) downloading, by the computer program, the attestation to an identity consumer electronic wallet for the identity consumer. The identity provider may commit the downloading of the attestation to a distributed ledger, wherein the distributed ledger maintains a current status for the attestation.

  • Publication number: 20210150440
Abstract: Various computer-implemented methods for utilizing a modified upper confidence bound (UCB) in an agent-simulator environment in well placement planning for oil fields are disclosed herein. A set of well placement sequences for placing well in a geographical region may be received, where each well placement sequent defines a sequence of multiple oil wells to be placed within the geographical region. A computer-implemented simulation may be executed on each of the well placement sequences to determine, for each of the well placement sequences, a reward based upon a calculated hydrocarbon recovery and a cost of the calculated hydrocarbon recovery. The well placement sequences may be iteratively selected for the computer-implemented simulations using the modified UCB algorithm and based upon the rewards determined for each of the plurality of well placement sequences.

  • Publication number: 20210042973
Abstract: A method for generating a visual illustration of data organized in a multiway graph is provided. In an embodiment, a computer system maintains a plurality of nodes and edges within a multiway graph and displays a visual user interface with a first node positioned at the center of the visual user interface and child nodes positioned at radially symmetric positions surrounding the first node. The computer system receives a first input that specifies a selection of a first child node. In response to receiving the first input, the computer system updates the visual user interface to display: the first node, positioned at the center; the child nodes, positioned at radially symmetric positions surrounding the first node; the first child node positioned below the first node; and grandchild nodes of the first child node, displayed as polygons positioned at radially symmetric positions around a circular area surrounding the child nodes.

  • Publication number: 20100169677
Abstract: In general, in one aspect, the disclosure describes a network interface device (NID) that can be remotely instructed to power-up powered-down network devices by generating magic packets that instruct the powered-down network device to power-up and to broadcast the magic packets to the network devices connected thereto. Utilizing the NID to generate the magic packets means that the MAC ID is only broadcast within the network (more secure). The NID may configure the network devices that may be powered-on and any limitations thereto (e.g., user, remote device). The MAC IDs associated with the network devices may be stored in the NID so that the user need not know it. The NID may be remotely instructed to power-down powered-up network devices (generate and broadcast magic packets that instruct powered-up network devices to power-down) by a remote device having access to the NID.
