  • Patent number: 9130552
Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a detector configured to monitor a high-drive signal and a low-drive signal that drives a high-side switch and a low-side switch respectively of an integrated circuit switching regulator. The detector monitors both the rising edge and the trailing edge of each of the high-drive and the low-drive signals respectively to determine a timing overlap between the signals and generates a detection signal indicating a dead-time value proportional to the presence or absence of the timing overlap between the signals. An output circuit can be configured to process the detection signal from the detector to enable a correction of the timing overlap between the signals if timing overlap is detected.

  • Patent number: 8443326
Abstract: A method for reordering scan chain segments of scan chains in an electronic circuit design includes identifying congestion areas on a congestion map. A routing preference for each congestion area is determined. Scan cells associated with each congestion area are formed into the scan chain segments and then the scan chain segments are re-ordered based on the routing preference of the corresponding congestion area.

  • Publication number: 20130063113
Abstract: A load current sensing circuit for sensing a DC-DC converter load current in a DC-DC converter comprising a high-side power transistor and a low-side power transistor connected in series between supply terminals and having a converter switching node therebetween coupled to an inductor to which a load is to be coupled. A first averaging stage determines a DC voltage component of the PWM signal and a second averaging stage determines a DC component of the voltage signal at the converter switching node. A comparison stage determines a difference voltage between the first averaging stage and the second averaging stage. An impedance replica stage forms a resistance which is proportional to the resistance of the series-connected power transistors. A measuring stage measures a current flowing through the impedance replica stage with the determined difference voltage applied.

  • Publication number: 20110272503
Abstract: A process of producing high purity trona concentrate includes crushing a mined raw trona (14) to form a crushed raw trona, and separating the crushed raw trona into at least two size fractions (16), wherein a first size fraction is larger than a second size fraction. At least two magnetic separators can be selectively independently adjusted (18,20) to optimize magnetic separation of magnetic impurities from the size fractions. Each of the magnetic separators corresponds to one of the size fractions, which can be separately introduced into the corresponding magnetic separators (22,24) to undergo magnetic separation (26,28,30), which removes magnetic impurities from the size fractions. A first high purity dry trona and a second high purity dry trona may be recovered from the first and second size fractions, respectively. Each of the high purity dry tronas may be combined to form a magnetically purified dry trona.

  • Patent number: 8024781
Abstract: The present invention automatically signs or logs a user in to access secured features within a software application without prompting manual intervention when a user starts the software application having secured features. When the software application is started and an automatic sign-in condition is enabled, the software application transitions to a signed-in or logged-in state as long as security criteria are met. As a result, unnecessary and repetitive steps are avoided when signing-in. The automatic sign-in condition may be enabled through initial system setup, from a prompt to enter a credential, or through a service options menu. The present invention improves network efficiency by limiting network transmissions to an as needed basis. The automatic sign-in condition is capable of roaming to other computers within a network, thereby following mobile users.
