    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system and method of setting the focus of a digital image based on social relationship. In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a scene is imaged with an electronic device and a face present in the imaged scene is detected. An identity of an individual having the detected face is recognized by determining that the detected face is the face of an individual having a social relationship with the user of the electronic device. The focus of the image is set to focus on the face of the recognized individual.
