  • Patent number: 10372295
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, carried out by one or more processors, for managing serviceability modes in a data center. In an embodiment, the method comprises the steps of receiving a serviceability mode selection for a component in a data center, wherein the serviceability mode correlates to information presented by one or more components in the data center; assigning a scheme for one or more LEDs on the component based, at least in part, on the received serviceability mode selection; and determining to activate the one or more LEDs on the component based at least on the assigned scheme.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20160216223
Abstract: An exhaust sensor comprises a temperature cell and a calibration resistor. The temperature cell has a characteristic such that a temperature cell impedance varies as a function of the exhaust sensor temperature, with the temperature cell having a high impedance at ambient temperature and a relatively low impedance at the operating temperature of the exhaust sensor, the operating temperature being higher than ambient temperature. The calibration resistor is electrically connected in parallel with the temperature cell. A method of producing and a method of using such an exhaust sensor are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140122930
Abstract: Diagnostic tests are performed in a data center that includes servers of various types and a management console, where each server provides an error log in a format specific to the type of the server. The management console receives an error log indicating an error produced by a hardware component, parses the error log into an error notification that describes the error and a type of the hardware component, and provides the error notification to other servers. Each of the other servers determines whether the server includes a hardware component of the same type, and if so, performs one or more diagnostic tests on the hardware component and reports results of the diagnostic tests to the management console.
