  • Patent number: 10918488
Abstract: A surgical implant for a proximal carpal row replacement surgery employs a scanned image of each of the scaphoid, lunate and triquetrum bones for generating a unitary, homogeneous model defining a fused shape for implantation as the proximal carpal row. The implant utilizes a contralateral image of healthy bones of the patient for generating the replacement model, and employs shrink-wrap and smoothing processing to generate the unitary replacement. The resulting implant replaces the intercalary bone structures of the scaphoid, lunate and triquetrum with a single appliance, and is slideably engaged with the distal carpal row via a surgical tunnel and tethered by a resectioned tendon, ligament, or other connective member. The implant facilitates wrist function since the unitary implant replaces skeletal structures that are encapsulated by adjacent bones and frequently move as a unit, while eliminating gaps, voids and ligaments between the intercalary structure.

  • Patent number: 10652298
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods and storage medium associated with media streaming through section change detection markers are disclosed herein. In an example, an apparatus may include one or more processors, devices, and/or circuitry to identify a plurality of section change transitions of content of the media file. The one or more processors, devices, and/or circuitry may be to select at least some of the identified section change transitions, and generate metadata responsive to the selecting. The one or more processors, devices, and/or circuitry may be to transmit the generated metadata over an electronic network for delivery to a streaming client.

  • Patent number: 10242252
Abstract: An apparatus for tagging content with expression recognition information is disclosed herein. The apparatus can include an input collector to receive raw expression data at a data storage device, the raw expression data to correspond to a media event. The apparatus can include an expression recognition generator to create an expression tag by coding the received raw expression data to follow an expression action coding system. The apparatus can include a content modifier to modify a deliverable content instance for the media event to include the expression tag.

  • Publication number: 20140223328
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a screen includes a storage area, an analyzer, and a controller. The storage area stores information indicative of one or more screen usage attributes. The analyzer determines a pattern of usage based on the stored information. The controller automatically changes a density of the screen from a first density to a second density based on the pattern of usage determined by the analyzer. The change to the second density produces a change in a size of one or more items displayed on the screen.

  • Publication number: 20140118267
Abstract: One or more targets on a touch screen may be provided. The amount of time that the user hovers over a given target may also be an entry. For example, each target may have a preprogrammed time duration. One target may require that the user spend a duration X hovering over the target; another target may require that the user spend duration 2X, and another target may still have another duration. Only if the user touches the right targets in the right order and for the right duration is the code properly entered in some embodiments.
