Abstract: A garage door opener arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a mobile, hand-held radio frequency transmitter that transmits a radio frequency signal to a garage door opener such that the radio frequency signal causes an associated garage door to open or close. A head unit includes an electronic processor and a human machine interface. The electronic processor is communicatively coupled to the hand-held radio frequency transmitter and to the human machine interface. The human machine interface enables a user to activate the hand-held radio frequency transmitter via the human machine interface such that the hand-held radio frequency transmitter transmits the radio frequency signal to the garage door opener.

Abstract: A rearview display arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a rearview camera positioned to capture images behind the motor vehicle. A heading direction sensor detects a heading direction of the motor vehicle. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to the rearview camera and to the heading direction sensor. The electronic processor crops an area from the captured images dependent upon the detected heading direction of the motor vehicle. The electronic processor transmits a video signal including the area cropped from the captured images. A rearview display screen is communicatively coupled to the electronic processor and presents the video signal to a driver of the motor vehicle.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure relate to a device joining system for a vehicle. For example, the system can include a requesting device including a sensor to detect requesting device environmental information and a grouping controller to send the requesting device environmental information to a vehicle server. In an example, the system can include a vehicle server that includes a grouping evaluator to send to the requesting device a join decision. The join decision can be based on a probability calculated from the requesting device environmental information and device environmental information which is detected by a device in the group.
