  • Publication number: 20130213621
Abstract: A plate type heat exchanger of the present invention includes a heat exchange assembly formed by a plurality of interconnected heat exchange plates in stacked relationship. Each of the heat exchange plates includes longitudinal side webs terminating in seating rims extending toward a longitudinal center axis of the heat exchange plate. The heat exchange plates are disposed between a bottom cover and a top cover of the exchanger. The top cover is provided with couplings at opposite ends for an inlet and an outlet of refrigerant. Each end of the heat exchange assembly, with longitudinal openings of passageways formed between the heat exchange plates, is provided with a manifold having an aperture for a passage of cooled air therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20130213368
Abstract: A heat exchanger is disclosed for the exhaust gas train of a motor vehicle. The heat exchanger includes a bundle of separately formed exhaust gas carrying exchanger tubes that is disposed in a closed housing formed separately, a coolant flowing through the housing and around the outside of the exchanger tubes. A bandage is disposed on the bundle of exchanger tubes mechanically connecting a plurality of the exchanger tubes to militate against an oscillation of the exchanger tubes.

  • Publication number: 20130127897
Abstract: A dual graphic display unit and a method of assembling such a display unit are provided. The display unit relates to a motor vehicle and includes a display area with two display graphics. The dual graphics may be overlapping and are selectable such that the graphics may be suppressed or displayed to a user of the display unit separately or together. The display unit may include a polarizing filter assembly, a source of polarized illumination for backlighting the assembly to generate the images, and means for activating the source to selectively provide a first polarization to generate the first graphic image and a second polarization to generate the second graphic image.

  • Publication number: 20130074528
Abstract: An air dehumidification unit of a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system includes an air flow channel configured to guide a flow of air through an evaporator disposed therein, and a drainage channel coupled to the air flow channel. The drainage channel has an internal volume configured to receive a fluid condensed at the evaporator from the flow of air. The air dehumidification unit further includes a heating device configured to heat the internal volume of the drainage channel from outside of the internal volume of the drainage channel to militate against a formation of ice therein. The invention also relates to a method for dehumidifying the air in the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system of a motor vehicle using the air dehumidification unit.
